5 Reasons why you’re not losing weight

5 Reasons why you're not losing weight 1

So you’ve decided that you’re finally going to lose that weight you’ve wanted to shift for ages. You’re exercising more, you’ve changed your eating habits – you’ve even cut back on that odd glass of wine. You must be looking pretty great then, right? Not? Why is that excess weight refusing to budge? You may have unintentionally been hijacking your own weight loss programme by limiting yourself in one way or another, but don’t you worry, as soon as you can identify them, you’ll avoid all possible weight loss mistakes and be able to achieve your goals faster! So here are five areas you may want to consider relooking in order to give your programme a boost.

1. You’re consuming more than you’re burning

It’s important to realise that just because you’ve ‘upped’ your exercise doesn’t mean you can eat more and expect to lose weight too. It may sound quite straightforward, but you need to be working off more calories than you’re consuming. If you don’t want to change your diet too drastically, try swapping a few of your regular foods for those with fewer calories. It can be as simple as swapping your morning cappuccino for a lovely cup of tea.

2. Your workout consists only of cardio

If you live for high energy exercise such as running but you never lift a weight or do any form of resistance training, then you’re missing out on one of the most important pieces of the fitness puzzle. Not only does weight lifting prevent injury by strengthening the joints, but it also builds muscle mass and increases metabolic rate which means that it ultimately burns more calories.

3. You’re eating hidden sugars

Uh oh! Those dastardly dreaded hidden sugars, hitting you where you least expect it! Foods like (some) pasta sauces, salad dressings and breakfast cereals are known to incorporate hidden sugars, and should be eaten in moderation – or at the very least factored into your daily sugar intake. If you do opt for one of these foods, be sure to get moving that day so that the sugars don’t have the chance to turn into the bad kind of fats.

4. You’ve cut out an entire food group

Giving up entire food groups can lead to a nutritional deficiency, it is not natural and is very soon bound to trigger cravings for whatever food has been cut. Rather than eliminating entire food groups focus on healthy options in the same food group and remember portion control is of the utmost importance. If you are still struggling consider visiting a health care practitioner who can assist you in formulating a healthy dietsupplementation and give you much needed moral support.

5. You exercise on an empty stomach

If you regularly exercise without eating first, here is why you should reconsider not doing this. Studies have shown that when you work out on an empty stomach, the calories which are burned come from muscle and not fat, which is exactly what you do not want! Since muscle burns more calories than fat, the more muscle mass you have, the better it is for weight loss. Munching before you exercise your body will help you avoid losing muscle and give you more energy to push yourself through your workout.

The Health Renewal option

But sometimes all the exercise in the world just doesn’t pay off. In that case, the Body Renewal Medical Weight loss programme could be for you. It’s an HCG diet and medical weight loss programme which treats the cause of obesity and resistance to leptin. It is a safe and effective weight and fat loss programme that specifically addresses the reduction of abnormal and resistant fat, which results in slimming of the body.

A highly professional team of registered nurses lead by a medical doctor assesses every patient.

The programme is based on improving sensitivity to Leptin and has four components:

* A low GI diet
* Weight loss supplements / nutraceuticals in the form of capsules
* A daily meal replacement with a low GI health shake
* Daily injections of a bio-identical non-synthetic lipotrophic substance (HCG) that targets and releases abnormal fat in the body.

If the programme is strictly adhered to, patients can lose between 8 to 10 kilograms in the first six-week cycle for women and 10 to 15 kilograms in the first six-week cycle for men. Not only will you feel good but you’ll enjoy higher energy levels. In fact, depressed patients have mood elevation as the Leptin levels “Kick in” 7 days into the programme.

  1. I can agree on the hidden sugars , many people think they are eating healthy for example: there are so many hidden sugars in yogurt even in muesli so even after you had a good workout you are putting back that colories you just lost.
Check the amount of colories before purchasing ,there are very good products on the market.

  2. Also! I think lemon water does wonders for my metabolism. I can’t believe I’ve lived so long without adding them to my water after my morning routine

  3. Those donuts on the picture looks so delicious. And those hidden sugars always catches me off guard

  4. ….why is it so difficult to lose that excess? I’m not to sure about the injections….

  5. I think its necessary to be healthy but in a good way, especially if it helps a person in deciding which type of lifestyle you would like to have in the near future but I would consider going ahead with a programme like this one, since it’ll only benefit me at the end:)
