I have a soft spot for BB cream and the wonder of its blending; just have never caught onto foundation and the complication of it all. Avon BB cream met most of my expectations. Beautiful black packaging was the first call to action and squeeze mechanism was quick and easy, no mess. The product applies beautifully and evenly, leaving my skin with an all-round lift and amazing glow.
I would recommend this product for people with reasonably normal skin as the product does have a somewhat oily effect so people with oily skin could experience some issues (especially in summer). Cream absorption was a bit of a problem as I got a little itch on my cheek later in the day and tried to soothe it with my t-shirt, needless to say, the cream rubbed off which was slightly disconcerting.
There is definitely a visible difference when applying the Avon BB cream and it really works well with the application of blush and eye shadow. Subtle smell and smooth texture of this product makes it a great buy for normal skin.

Even though there’s been a lot of hype around BB cream I have never used it up until now, and I’ve been totally converted. It’s really lightweight, moisturises my skin but doesn’t leave it feeling greasy. It looks really natural and illuminates, which is ideal. It also has an SPF 15 which saves me having to use sunscreen. I really love this product!

I was given the BB cream to test as I was not sure what was the best products for me, as I dont like foundation at all due to me getting break outs and it feels like my face cant breathe with foundation.
But I absolutely love the BB cream as it smooths on easily with no mess or full, Its makes my face look smoother and more radiant. It is a lot more lightweight than other BB creams I have seen.
I would recommend this product has it does what it says
My only negative review it that it comes off easily even with using the CC pearls over it which is said to help set the BB cream.
But otherwise an awesome product
I’m not a fan of BB creams, or foundations. Especially in summer as I sweat a lot in my face when hot. But I’ve really been impresses with the avon brand cream. It’s the 2nd one I’ve tried, the first one was 3 times the price and just clumped on my pored and oxidised terribly. This avon one makes me feel comfortable knowing I don’t have to check in the mirror every 4mins and it gives excellent coverage (I don’t have many blemishes though) and it makes my skin feel soft and moisturized- even after removal. If it’s extremely hot it still melts a bit on my skin though- so on hot days I skip it or if I really need to wear it I will apply translucent powder over the bb cream.
I love this beauty balm, the packaging is pretty and compact and being a tube you can control how much of the product you want to squeeze out. It has a bit more coverage than your usual beauty balms which is great. It evens out skin tone and covers up unsightly blemishes and best of all it doesn’t look like you’re wearing any makeup at all,it also has shimmer pigments which make your skin look dewy and radiant. The texture is creamy and leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturised. An added benefit is that it has spf in it as well. Ideal for everyday use. Although if you have oily skin you might not be a fan of this beauty balm. It retails for about R180 which is a bit pricey for such a small tube but definitely worth it. Avon usually has it on special every now and then.. usually about half the price . I’d definitely buy it again. A word of advice, ask your Avon rep to provide you with a sample sachet before you buy it. The colors are not as they appear in the brochure.

My verdict
I would really recommend you give this BB cream a try as soon as it retails. It’s quite expensive because it retails at R89 for a 30ml tube but it’s completely worth it. The coverage is a bit light, but it does cover blemishes. The BB Cream comes in a stylish black tube which has the words “BB” in hot pink.
TIP: I would recommend you ask your Avon Consultant to test the colours first before purchasing this BB Cream because the colours are slightly different from skin tones.
I bought this two months ago. I don’t like, it doesn’t last long on my skin and within about 4 hours it doesn’t even look like I had something on my skin.
I find that BB cream is better, lighter and that it gives you a more natural and healthy complexion than any foundation. However, all BB creams tend to rub off… Must be really careful when wearing them! Also, a tip… for more problematic areas, like dark circles or scars, dab a tiny bit of foundation and blend into the BB. This way, you get the glow of the BB cream, with the coverage of a foundation where you need it most. :)
I bought the BB cream with one of my purchases and with all the hype around it. For me this specific BB cream was just like a foundation and some parts of my skin looked a bit cracked at closer inspection. I didnt moisterise and I thought the BB cream had a moisteriser in, I will finish this product but will not buy it again. Will try another version of the BB cream to see.
