The queen of eyeliners, I have literally tried hundreds in my lifetime. Out of all of them, there have only been a few that I truly loved and would re-purchase. After trying this latest eye pencil from Clarins, I have another one to add to my favourites list. First and foremost, the texture of this pencil is stunning. It is soft, yet firm enough to not break or smudge when you draw a line. The colour draws on effortlessly and easily – I don’t have to keep redrawing the line until it shows up (it shows up immediately), and there’s no scratching or hurting my eyelid.
I’ve been using the shade Taupe and I love the metallic effect it has. It is light in colour which is perfect for my pale complexion, yet I think it would show up beautifully on darker skins too. It lasts for a good number of hours, though I find I have to touch it up if I am going somewhere after work, or if I have an important meeting late afternoon.
I prefer a solid line to a smudged one, so I haven’t been using the attached brush in conjunction with the pencil. I find it works quite well for blending eyeshadow though.
Because the colour is so beautiful, it applies easily and the pencil is ultra soft, I will definitely be re-purchasing this, and will add some other colours to my collection too.
