‘The “Energetic Face Protector” was quite a name for a moisturiser, so I was quite looking forward to seeing what it could do for me. I have a 2-year-old son, who doesn’t believe in sleep so am in need of any and all beauty help that promises to energise and hydrate my skin. Over to the Peruvian Maca root and Community Trade Brazil nut oil… it has a nice firm texture, with a fresh pleasant smell (thanks to the Community Trade aloe vera). I know I am definitely helping the South American Community traders so I felt quite socially responsible. Unfortunately, I over heat with sticky moisturisers and found that due to the SPF it was a little too oily and didn’t sink in nicely. Although much lighter than other sunscreens, I think I’d enjoy it if it was possibly an SPF 30 but at 15, it needs to feel a bit lighter.
‘If you’re a fan of The Body Shop, it’s another wonderfully smelling socially responsible product – unfortunately just not for me.’

A great product once again from the Body Shop
I bought this for my husband a while ago and it actually did wonders for his skin. he suffers from excema which leaves his face with red marks especially after shaving but this moisturiser did not dry out his skin, did not burn and it actually made his complexion a lot clearer
Thank you for the honest review David – I’m also not a great fan of any lotion(s) that gets “too oily” after being applied.
