Skin Creamery Facial Hydrating Oil

An omega elixir, for dewy, radiant skin. The oil molecules break down when mixed with a little water, enabling them to simply melt into the skin.

Jojoba oil helps create a protective barrier, without clogging pores. Once fully absorbed, it acts as a cleanser from within, penetrating deep into the follicle to clear out pore blockages. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory, soothing irritated skin and relieving the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis.

Baobab gently heals and hydrates the skin. It contains antioxidants and essential fatty acids like omegas 6 and 9, which naturally protect skin from the elements.
Kalahari melon seed oil has incredible restructuring and regenerating properties. The oil contains a large amount of phytosterols, which maintain the barrier function of the skin.

What we say:
This is the very last product I tried when I started my Skin Creamery skincare regime. I’d been putting it off because I didn’t want to be disappointed, and the reason for that is that I have never been a big fan of facial oils. Don’t get me wrong, I think they’re great and they can do wonders for dry skin, but having grown up with oily skin, and then managed combination (and often blemish-prone skin) skin for most of my adult life, oils, in general, have just not worked for me. But, having loved the rest of the Skin Creamery range so much, I decided to give it a try. Now I am kicking myself that I hadn’t done it earlier.

The instructions on the bottle says to wet your hands and then dispense two pumps of the oil into your palms, before gently rubbing them together to allow the oil to mix with the water. I’ve been doing this with three pumps as I like a little extra product to apply to my neck and décolleté. I would never have thought to mix the oil with a little bit of water like this, but it makes such a massive difference! The product is light and spreads so easily on my skin, and best of all, it gets absorbed. I was worried it would sit on top of my skin and feel sticky but that is not the case at all. I usually leave it on for five to ten minutes before applying my moisturiser.

It’s made my skin feel soft and smooth and best of all, it does not clog my pores. I’ve really enjoyed the ritual of using it and despite it being a lightweight oil, it feels very luxurious. Like all the other products in the Skin Creamery range, it smells lovely, too. This product is fantastic for winter, but judging by how light it is, I think it would be suitable to use all year round.
