Caribbean Tan Tan in a Can

No dirty patches. No streaking. No orange shades. No premature ageing. No UV skin damage…just a seamless all-over body tan in less than 20 MINUTES.  Our trial team got to review the range.

What our Beauty Masters say:
When I received my Caribbean tanning spritzer I was so excited because I was planning on buying something to help out with the white leg situation I had going on.

I tried it out as soon as I got home – followed the instructions – showered, exfoliated and dried myself properly. The smell is much better than any other self-tanner that I’ve ever tried before. Even the day after – when you normally get that distinct self-tanner smell – it was very subtle.

I loved the glove that came with it which means “No more orange hands (yeah)” and it was so easy to apply. It wasn’t streaky at all and I’m not a pro at applying self-tanner.

There’s enough in one bottle for a couple of rounds of spraying which is awesome value for money. And if you follow the post spray instructions you’ll be left with a healthy glow for at least a week after.

I also love that there are different levels of colour for different skin tones so anyone will be able to benefit from using Caribbean Tan. I have recommended it to my bride-to-be friend and all of the bridesmaids too because it gives you an instant glow and if you do make a mistake (not likely) you can easily amend it by some gentle exfoliation and moisturizing.

I would definitely buy it again – absolutely my favorite self-tanner.
My final score – 4 stars.

I have very pale, white and sensitive skin and also quite a few moles so have been encouraged by my dermatologist not to tan. So tanning as become quite a problem for me. It’s so hard to find a product that is moisturising but that will not aggravate my sensitive skin and actually give me a believable tan and not make me look like an orange!
I really liked the Caribbean Tan Instant Colour in a Can Spray. I have used the foam option before from the Caribbean range which I really like but was a bit drying on my skin. This option is great for instant colour which I quite like. It’s nice if you have go to an event or somewhere special but don’t have time to tan beforehand. The instant colour is great and I really like to use it on my legs.
I am really pale though so I have to be careful when I use the spray not to over spray otherwise I could end up looking like a fried piece of chicken, so it does take a while to figure out how to get a balance between a gradual realistic looking colour and crazy orange! I like my tan to look natural – I will never look like Giselle but a nice glow is what I am aiming for.
Consistency wise the product is light, smells great and is super absorbable but like any self-tan product you have to wait for it to dry and clean your hands so you don’t leave any tell tale signs behind.
I really loved this product – it’s great for people like me who need instant results but who don’t have the time or luxury to develop a tan over time. I would definitely buy it again!

While I have never been a “fake tan lover”, the Caribbean Tan gradual spray tan is a good product to work with. The spray allows you to apply it evenly and smoothly without the risk of having bright orange hands, and reduces the risk of having patchy orange sections. The colour works well with my skin and is not overly “fake” looking. My biggest concern is the intense smell – at first I thought it was quite pleasant but after having left my bathroom and walking back a few minutes later I realised how pungent it was. Overall if I did need to use self-tan again I would definitely use this product over a mousse or cream! Thanks BeautySouthAfrica!

I haven’t used self-tanning lotions for the past 14 years due to the fact that I tend to go yellow after a few days and I always sat with unsightly lines on my legs.
At first I was skeptical, but gave the Caribbean Tan in a can a chance one morning and started spraying and rubbing it in after a shower.
Big was my surprise to find that after spraying and rubbing it in, there were no visible lines, and it lasts for several days before having to apply again. I also did not turn yellow after a few days. Would definitely recommend this product for the pale-skinned individuals and those who burn easily in the sun like I do.

  6. I’ve heard so many horror stories about self-tanning, so I’ve tried to steer away from it at all costs… but after reading these articles, this product does sound promising. Think I might be tempted to pick up a can the next time I’m at Dis-chem!

  7. This sounds great to tan out of a can. Better than laying in the sun the whole day.

  8. This sounds great for someone who wants a “quick fix” that lasts as well. I have been using Dove’s gradual lotion and find that it works well as an everyday moisturiser. I’d be keen to give Caribbean Tan a bash though.
