My suggestion would be that she get the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Extreme pre-shampoo treatment along with the Moisture Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner. She should sit under a steamer with the treatment for about 15-20 minutes and then shampoo and condition. Some clients use the treatment as a leave-in to get added moisture so as to soften the hair more.
That’s my advice as far as products are concerned. I would have to know more about her length or maybe see a picture to recommend more. Is she based in Cape Town?
