How to get that all over glow

How to get that all over glow 2

Remember the 90s, when girl groups like the Spice Girls made body glitter a thing? Girls and women of all ages took note and it was common practice to mix your body lotion with regular glitter to create Scary Spice’s sparkle at home. We’ve come a long way since then, and now that we’re older (and wiser!), we’ve replaced body glitter with products that give the skin a much more subtle sparkle – the enviable “glow” you always read about!

Glowing skin screams “healthy” and goes a long way in preserving the skin’s youthful appearance. We’re big fans of glow-inducing wash-off products for the body, particularly on long summer nights (who can resist a shimmery collarbone or bronzed, shimmery legs?).

To ensure you get the most out of your body products, exfoliate regularly to remove dry and dead skin cells and follow up with a hydrating moisturiser to up your skin’s moisture levels. If your skin isn’t exfoliated and moisturised regularly, dry patches could make your shimmer products look streaky.

Vita Liberata Body Blur, R1130.00 (https://www.vitaliberata.co.za/) ǀ Caribbeantan Instant Body Bronzer, R99.95 (Dis-Chem) ǀ Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or Multi-Purpose Dry Oil, R395.00 (Woolworths) ǀ Caribbeantan Shimmer Cream, R89.95 (Dis-Chem) ǀ Lush Shimmy Shimmy, R130.00 (Lush stores or https://za.lush.com/)

Bronzers and highlighters can be lightly dusted over the face, collarbones and décolletage for a natural, healthy glow. The most basic tip for applying bronzer is to draw the “3” shape on either side of your face, which ensures bronzer is visible along your hairline, temples, just below the cheekbone and below the jawline. Highlighter should be applied anywhere on the face where light naturally falls: just above the cheekbone, down the bridge of the nose, in the inner corner of the eyes and above the cupid’s bow. Remember to blend, blend, blend to ensure it doesn’t look streaky.
