New scents we discovered just in time for spring

As much as we swoon over heavy woods and spices, we love swapping our winter scents out for something a bit lighter when the weather heats up. This spring, we’ve discovered four new scents we know you’ll love:

New scents we discovered just in time for spring 1

Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers Summer Air Eau de Toilette (R445.00 – 100ml)
If you love the original Sunflowers fragrance, you’ll be blown away by this new interpretation. Close your eyes and you can actually imagine lying in a field of flowers in the height of summer (how dreamy, right?!). This alluring fragrance consists of lemon, apple, rose, cedarwood and musks, to name a few. It’s light and airy, capturing the refreshing coolness of a summer breeze. We’re pretty certain this is going to be on a lot of Christmas wishlists this year. Available at selected department stores.

Jeanne Arthes Amore Mio Dolce Paloma Eau de Parfum (R189.00 – 100ml)
Every now and again you discover a product that completely exceeds your expectations. This is one of those times. Soft, light and summery, this fragrance combines sparkling fruits of mandarin and blackcurrant with jasmine, rose and orange blossom. It’s light enough for the office, but pretty enough for a date or day out. What really got us excited about it though, was the quality. For R189.00, you normally wouldn’t expect much, but Jeanne Arthes gets it just right. Beautiful scent, gorgeous packaging and lasting power. Available at Dis-Chem.

New scents we discovered just in time for spring 2

Juicy Couture Oui Eau de Parfum (R1199.00 – 50ml)
This is the ultimate scent for the modern woman – it’s light-hearted and upbeat, playful and provocative. The scent pops when you first spray it, thanks to watermelon and acia accord and a hint of juicy pear. Tuberose and jasmine come to the fore once it settles on the skin, and it dries down with rich amber resins and captivating musks. It’s the type of fragrance you can wear all day, and we love how it uplifts almost instantly. And the bottle… we need a heart eyes emoji! Totally different to anything else on the market, this design is just breath-taking. We love the one-of-a-kind dual colour glass, and how cute is the gold chain and pendant? Available at selected department stores.

Sorbet Floral Eau de Parfum (R299 – 100ml)
It was just a matter of time before cosmetics powerhouse Sorbet released their first fragrances. Of the three scents available, we recommend Sorbet Floral for spring. Modern, yet elegant, Sorbet Floral radiates with top notes of raspberry leaf, pink pepper and pear that exude vibrant energy and spontaneity. It’s fresh and uplifting, and downright beautiful. Available at all Sorbet Salons and Clicks stores.
