I have naturally curly hair and it has always been frizzy and curly but when I started using Aunt Jackie Curl Custard my hair looks great. I just love the smell and when you put it on, there is no residue or yuckiness on it. My hair feels natural and bouncy. Love, love it!

Aunt Jackie’s curl la la defining curl custard comes in a cute 255g transparent plastic tub, and the product itself is light purple but is colourless when you put it on your hair. It has the consistency of a light custard but is not too runny.

It smells sweet, and the scent lingered all day. After a whole day, I could still smell it on my hair. I’ve used this product on wet and dry hair and the results were the same. It left my hair feeling super moisturised and I didn’t experience any residue or flaking. My curls weren’t as defined as I hoped it would make it, but I am very happy with my results so far.

I’ve been natural for over 4 years now, big chop and everything. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Auntie Jackie’s range but since my hair despises coconut oil and most natural products contains it, I was sceptical. A few months ago I decided to take the plunge and bought it at Clicks as a 3 for 2 special. I invested in the flaxseed gel, Curl la la and a conditioner. I was most excited for Curl la la as my bestie uses it and absolutely loved it.

After wash day was completed, usually a few hours of deep conditioning, detangling the works… I apply curl la la to my hair before doing twists. Upon first application, my hair loved it! It felt smooth and soft and smelled amazing! When my hair eventually dried, the twistout was very defined but not moisturised at all. My hair was really dry and felt brittle to the touch, a feeling every natural dreads. I haven’t used it again after that on my own hair but tried it on my colleagues hair and she loved it. I’ve decided to use it on my wash-and-go in future but would have to wait for Summer. I’ve spoken to some ladies and surprisingly quite a few had similar results to mine but their hair also detests coconut oil so that might be the problem right there. Overall I do feel Auntie Jackie’s is a good brand and value for money as I absolutely love the flaxseed gel and a little really goes a long way.

I bought this a while back but since my hair is in braids at the momement, I haven’t had a chance to use myself. I have however tried it on my little one (7 months) and the results are amazing. I wash her hair with the moisturising & softening conditioner then apply the Curl lala oh her damp hair…. not only does this smell amazing it leaves her hair soft and shiny and her litte curls are well defined. We have found a winner in this product!

I was first introduced to Aunt Jackie’s products by my mom. I didn’t pay much attention to it because I had never heard about the brand before. My mom continues her use of Aunt Jackie’s product from shampooing, conditioning, styling, the whole package. I started seeing the difference in her curls. They were more defined and moisturized.

This made me decide to start using the products also. From the first day I rocked my curls to work, the compliments flooded in (bear in mind I’ve worn my curls hair do before and it went unnoticed).

Ever since I’ve been using Aunt Jackie’s curling products. I’ve even started using Curl La La on my baby girl hair and the definition and moisture your hair receives is unbelievable. No more dull curls here.

Ever since I started doing curls I have been struggling to get a product that will define my curls without causing grease, then I got hold of this product. From the smell to the work it does, I say this is what I have been looking for.

I love this product! I purchased it based on the reviews on BeautySouthAfrica and I wasn’t disappointed. It defines my coils, moisturises and softens my hair, smells good and the packaging is good. The best part is the price, well worth it.

This curl custard is made in the United States of America. Its prime goal is to bring unruly curls, coils, frizzy hair and braid outs under control to define and style them with ease without any product build-up, flakes or dried up strands.

This lilac custard-like styling product comes in a 255 grams transparent plastic tub and I have to say that because my expectations were high, the chances of this product meeting them where insurmountable, but meeting them it did. The addition of Shea Butter and Olive Oil in this product helps it to nourish and moisturise my hair leaving it soft to the touch. The fact that Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coil Curl La La Defining Curl Custard is sulphate-free, has no parabens, no oil minerals or petrolatum is a huge selling factor to me as my natural hair gets damaged by over exposure to harsh chemicals.

In my enthusiasm, I’ve learned that using this curl custard, or any styling product for that matter, in conjunction with any leave-in conditioning hair product is a recipe for clumps of product build-up. That is a lesson I will not be forgetting any time soon.
