I’ll admit it; I was pretty intimidated by this mascara after reading on the label that it was an intense plum hue. I thought my lashes would look really purple and stand out in a way I didn’t want it to. But, this mascara did anything but that! In fact, I was very impressed by the colour as well as the definition I got from using this product.
Usually really black mascara can make your lashes look fake and over dramatic. The great thing about this mascara is that it does not make your lashes look like false ones because of the colour. It’s still as intense, but not too intense. It adds just the right amount of colour and definition to give you that natural look that you want every day.
The best quality about this product is its applicator brush. What a masterpiece! It allows you to use it even on the shortest lash which makes applying mascara less frustrating in these difficult places. I also found that this mascara lasts long and does not smudge or fade. It did, however, clump a bit.
I love this colour mascara and its applicator. I would recommend this cosmetic to anyone that wants good quality colour mascara that’s not too dramatic, but still makes a difference.

A dual-purpose, ultra-volume, intense colour mascara with a rich formula that enhances the beauty of all types of lashes. Lashes are gently lengthened and have spectacular volume not to mention the creamy texture which leaves a very resistant film on the lashes for an optimum wear that lasts all day. Glycoproteins an active ingredient in the mascara’s formula helps thicken lashes and give them enhanced body and shine. This product is definitely on my shopping list!

I have short, thin eyelashes, so I need all of the help I can get! Instant Definition has a very deep, dark black formula that instantly makes my lashes stand out. I used 2 coats on the top lashes and got a considerable amount of volume without clumping, and also decent length. Expensive but worth it.
The packaging is gorgeous and the way it makes my eyelashes look is incredible! The brush tip sometimes can pick up a little too much mascara, so you have to watch out for clumps.
Mascara is a MUST in my make up kit, if I could have nothing else but mascara I would still be happy. I love a mascara that does not clump nor make my eyelashes look like spider legs. Love mascara that delivers on its promises of volume and length
The traditional bristles work well at coating each lash with the mascara. The formula is relatively thick but nice and smooth. I personally did not need to use the tip of the wand to separate my lashes as they already were beautifully defined. When using the rubber tip of the wand I found that it actually caused my lashes to stick together – not exactly what I’d hoped for. I think this is because a lot of formula collects on tip of the wand. I’ve played around with the wand but I have not found it to be all that useful or effective.

I received a cute sample size of the Clarins Instant Definition Mascara and I must say that it has such a great wand. It coats my long lashes, my short bottom lashes and those hard to reach corners. Will definitely purchase a full size one as soon as my current mascara is finished.
This is a must own mascara for all you ladies out there! I have very short lashes and have completely fallen in love with this product. The specially designed brush allows for an even and smooth application where as the specialised tip allows you to easily apply mascara to the lashes closest to the inner and outer corner, as well as the bottom lashes without making a mess of it. My lashes look great after using the Clarins: Instant Definition Mascara. If you are looking for clump free, beautiful long lashes with intense colour, look no further.
