It smells absolutely delicious, like chocolate and vanilla and leaves your skin smelling like that too. It’s rich but absorbs into the skin beautifully. This is definitely one of those classic old time beauty budget buys that we have all used at some point in our lives.
It smells great and a little goes a long way.
Its a good summer lotion because it is light weight and absorbed fast without being greasy.
But it doesn’t quite do it for me for winter, its not thick enough to keep dryness away all day. I need a richer body butter for winter.
Honestly I only purchase it when I really need lotion and my beauty budget is done for the month though.
This Takes me back to my school days when this was a daily staple. An excellent budget lotion that has stood the test of time. However, the consistency nowadays appears to be more watery and not as thick as in back in the day. I miss the old formula.
This is not my usual body moisturizer, however, I spent the weekend away with my sister and found I left my body lotion at home and had to tuck into hers.
I think this product works great for my sister – as her skin is not as dry as mine – but it failed miserably for me. Because of the Cocoa butter description, I was expecting a very rich product, however this is actually quite light and is easily absorbed into the skin. It smells rich and delicious. I did not like the bottle as I found the design too fussy. Mostly, I did not like that I needed to re-apply throughout the day – which was not always convenient. But luckily, my sister carries this in her handbag (even though it isn’t really conveniently handbag sized). It definitely will not be replacing my current product, but it does the job.
It might smell great and be priced way below its competitors, but it leaves my skin ashy and dry after an hour or two.
I love this lotion. My whole family uses this. It has a nice smell and keeps my skin well hydrated throughout the day. I would recommend it to everyone. It is well worth the price and will suite everyone’s budget.
Who doesn’t love Cocoa Butter lotions. These are great and a classic.
For such an affordable lotion, this works wonders. It isn’t too greasy and gets absorbed very quickly. I find this works wonderfully in the Durban weather but was not nearly as moisturising enough when I lived in Jhb.
This body lotion is very affordable. Unfortunately it does not do a good job of moisturising my very dry skin. Within a couple of hours, my skin looks ashy and I’ll have to reapply the lotion. On the upside, it smells absolutely divine and that’s the reason I bought it.
I grew up using a range of Dawn’s body lotions and always found them to be ineffective for my thirsty skin. I’ve tried a sample recently after not having used their lotions for a couple of years and cannot say that I’m going back to them. I suppose it’s an ok product for someone who doesn’t need much moisturisation.
Dawn is one of those institutional brands that never seem to put a foot wrong. Extremely well priced, delivering excellent value for money, their products never seem to date or lose relevance. And who doesn’t love the scent of cocoa and chocolate? Yum!
