I often feel like my eyes are invisible without mascara. A lick of the black stuff shows the world I can see them. The small, flexible brush makes it easy the get the product on all of my lashes, even the teeny ones in the corners. The brush is made up of small studs instead of bristles, and you can really feel it combing through your lashes. The luminous orange wand also helps with the application, as you’re always very aware of where it’s at – avoiding giving yourself an impromptu mole a la Cindy Crawford.
The product does offer great definition, but it doesn’t really deliver on the promise of volume. It made my lashes visible, separated and long, but not any thicker. So it works well for a classic daytime look, but I’d need something more dramatic for evenings. The slim, bright container makes this a winner for handbags – it doesn’t take up too much space and is easy to find amongst your keys, lippy, wallet and emergency tissues.
It’s a good, on-the-go, everyday mascara.

I have tried so many different mascaras and this one is my absolute favourite! Other mascaras make my lashes clump together or look spiderey, but this one is just my go-to mascara! It keeps my lashes defined and really dark. it also builds up well, you can apply more layers if you want a fuller look. I definitely recommend this product.

This is an Essence product I can fully get behind. It’s simply brilliant. What’s not to love? It has attractive packaging, it’s inexpensive and most importantly it works!

I think this is a great mascara for the price you pay. If you want definition, then it should do a good job for you. I prefer more volume, so I am not too fond of it. I really like the brush though, as it separates the lashes well and coats every lash. The colour is great, I didn’t experience any smudging and it lasts.
I like this mascara – great value for money, no clumping and it lasts all day. The flexible rubber brush combs through my lashes easily. This is the second mascara I bought from Essence – wasn’t impressed with the first one, but this one I will buy again!
I am not a big fan of Essence. It is well-priced but as they say, you get what you pay for… I much prefer Almay’s mascaras. I find the quality of Essence products lacking.
I’m usually a huge Essence fan but the maximum definition volume mascara is the second mascara that I wasn’t impressed with from the brand. Firstly I disliked the plastic like bristles & it didn’t give my lashes any volume even after many coats. I use this on a lazy day at home not for going out.
The product is great. I have been looking for something like this for some time now and I am quite happy with the result I got from the mascara. It definitely made my eye lashes more visible and the volume is super. I would recommend it to all the ladies who needs extra volume.
