Never have I used a foundation like this!
I have been through various brands of high-quality , greatly endorsed foundations, but non can compare to the excellence I have found in Estee Lauders’ Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup.
Not only is it smudge proof, it literally has stay-on-all-day resistance, and it gives my skin a luminous glow! It covers up all of my pores and contributes to a healthy looking skin tone.
The non-conventional 30ml bottle aids in easy usage, and the classical golden-blue packaging from the Estee Lauder range always reveal the true quality of their products.
The soft powdery smell gives it a refreshing, all day feel, and knowing that with everyday usage this product would last no less than 4 months, makes the purchase all worthwhile.

Almost 4 months ago I purchased the Estee Lauder Double Wear Say-in-place Foundation SPF 10 in the colour Rich Chestnut . Now I obviously could have reviewed this product a lot sooner, but I decided to try the foundation during different seasons in order to give you the best review.
I started using the foundation towards the end of winter – but before we get into how the experience went, just a quick recap on my skin. I have dry combination skin and it’s extremely sensitive. During the winter periods, my skin tends to get dry around my forehead and it looks patchy and scaly. During the summer time, my skin tends to be normal but oily around my t-zone which then requires powdering throughout the day.
Winter: Upon application of the foundation I immediately thought that it would dry my skin out and I felt as though the foundation had a red undertone to it, but it surprised me just how it automatically blended with my skin.
Summer: Now with the recent heat waves, I decided to try the foundation again – my goodness, the beauty of this foundation.
I came to a realisation that my skin is lighter during winter (due to the fact that there’s hardly any sun) then it tends to darken during summer because I absolutely love the sun.
I applied the foundation and it matched my skin tone perfectly with ease. The oiliness seems to diminish when I use this foundation. The foundation is medium coverage and also buildable.
I basically apply my first thin coat all over my face and let it sit for around two minutes and then apply a second coat. When I applied the second coat I immediately felt as though it had a mattefying effect to my skin. It felt like it totally stuck to my and didn’t move (which is a good thing during summer). I felt like a natural second skin.
I love love this foundation and now I see why it’s being getting such good reviews. This foundation gets a 7/10 from me.

I am like every girl out there, always excited to try new products and spend money on them. I suffered with really bad acne and was not quite ready to take any pills or anything else for my face, I decided to look up on some full coverage foundations. I tried so many foundations but finally i read about estee lauder double wear, this foundation has worked wonders, it covers up all my marks and has this really natural finish as well as being really lightweight on my face, it lasts for a really long time and has not caused any acne. I am not sure if tons of people have already tried this product, it was a bit pricey for me but lasts up to 6 months because a little goes a long way, its a really great product…….
This is my all-in-one go to concealer when I need to COVER BLEMISHES, to HIGHLIGHT and to CONCEAL. My shade is the Rich Caramel.
I swear by this amazing product. On days when I want to get the best coverage out of it I use it to highlight and contour alongside the Bobbi Brown Stick Foundation and it gives the most amazing finish.
What I love about this concealer is that I can also use it on its own because it gives full coverage. It has a matte finish and covers all flaws
Look no further than Estee Lauder Doublewear! Not only is it the best color foundation that I have ever used, it stays in place just like it says it does! I would get so many compliments while wearing this foundation, it does a very good job at covering up yet it still looks natural in a way, people often think that I have this amazing skin but it’s all thanks to this foundation. I wouldn’t even consider changing foundations. It is pricey at R450 a bottle but it lasts a couple of months. I would recommend to everyone to try this foundation!
It really lives up to its name of ‘stay-in-place’. I am so impressed by this foundation and will definitely repurchase. Once applied, it stays in place and maintains a matte finish without rubbing off. I have used this is extreme heat and sweaty conditions and not once did it slide off. What I also love is that there are a wide range of colours available.
This product gives the best coverage and leaves skin looking matte. It does not dry the skin out in winter and doesn’t get as oily as other brands like lancome and clarins on my combination skin. One 20ml container is sufficient for a good few months so it’s definitely worth the money spent. It provides great application with both your fingers or a foundation brush. Bronze 42 is my colour :)
I never believed it, until I tried it. What stands out for me is that this product is really non transferable, you apply it and it stays. I can wear a white collared shirt and not be afraid of having a brown collar by 12:00. It also hold on to other make quite well, like blush and shimmer. I find that it gives me such a great canvas for me to apply the rest of my make up. I am a double wear fan. However beware if you have very dry skin, it has a tendency to show fine lines. That was my only disappointment, but it’s still a winner.
This product is unreal.
It lasts an entire day, even in the height of summer. The product looks natural and gives you a flawless finish. It lasts me 3 months and I use it every day.
I don’t know anyone who hasn’t used this foundation. I have several bottles because I was afraid they would change the formula or discontinue the shade I wear. This is the only foundation I wear that won’t rub off on a crisp white shirt. I would also like to add that it works so well as a contour/highlighting product. I silently hope it would gain a pump in the next few years.
