I’ve never really been too keen on BB Creams. In fact, I am terribly fussy about any product I use on my face. But, after trying out the new POND’S Flawless Radiance BB Cream in Chocolate, I understand the hype about BB Creams.
What I really loved about this product was the fact that it was so light and blended into my skin perfectly. It made my skin look fresh and luminous, and it didn’t leave any residue or leave my skin feeling oily. Also, it has the most amazing, invigorating smell!
I did, however, find that it didn’t give me that instant colour coverage that I really wanted. So, I wouldn’t exactly agree that this BB Cream was expertly designed for African skin. The BB Cream was dark and chocolatey out of the tube, as expected, but very transparent once it was smoothed into my skin. This isn’t a bad quality though. It just means that this BB Cream will suit just about every skin tone. What could be better than that?
With regards to evening my skin tone and reducing dark marks, I have yet to find out. Other than that, I am very satisfied with this BB Cream, and would recommend this all-in-one GenActivâ„¢ COVER formula and SPF 30 advanced sunscreen protection skin care solution to all BB Cream addicts.

This is my favourite BB cream at the moment, I love the texture of this BB Cream. It is absolutely rich and moisturising… however I would prefer if there were a few more shades.

I bought this cream with such high expectations but it let me down. Granted, BB Creams won’t give you the same coverage as foundation but this cream for me is nothing but a moisturiser. It does nothing for my skin and in fact when I have it on, my colleagues tell me that I look a little dull and tired. Thankfully; as I am new to BB creams, I bought this with the Avon Flawless Ideal Nutmeg shade and I am IN LOVE with it. I dare you to try the Ponds BB cream on your arm with another branded BB cream. the difference is obvious and an in terms of coverage Ponds loses hands down. It is nothing more than a moisturiser which does nothing in terms of either coverage or “matching” to your shade. In fact, I look rather dull and darker with this cream. I feel like I wasted money and I would much rather buy something a bit more pricier if it means I will get my money’s worth. For the benefit of the UV protection factor and my pocket, I will be using the rest of this cream on my body just to feel a little better about wasting money.

Okay let me start by saying that this product is a BB cream so if you are looking for coverage then this wont work for you. I use this cream during weekends to give my face a break from make up. Its light, absorbs easily and provides good hydration (if you have oily skin, you can get away with using this as a moisturiser) I love how it brightens up my complexion and gives me a nice glow, it can make the skin oily after a few hours so be sure to have some pressed powder at hand. Other than that, its great product and very affordable.

Finally after trying so many BB’s that left me looking like a grease ball I’ve met the one. If u have oily/combination skin and require light coverage than Ponds BB is the only product you’ll need and the best part is it matches skin tone perfectly so there won’t be a need to stress over choosing the right color like with foundation. If only it had more coverage & they made the tube a little bigger but I still love it.
