  1. So after reading so many good reviews about this product i decided to try it out for my self, i must say it removed all my make-up very easily and did not irritate my skin at all. I also use it in the mornings just to freshen up before applying my serum and day cream. It really leaves your face feeling squeaky clean and refreshed….. it will be a repurchase for me for sure :)

  2. i just invested in this product over the past weekend, i currently use all of the garnier products and was really impressed by this especially with not having to rinse my face after use. it left my skin feeling clean, soft and fresh. its perfect for oily skin as it doesn’t make your skin oily even after sleeping and waking up.

  3. Micellar Cleansing Water? Cleansing water? If you’ve never heard of the latest make up removal which has hit South Africa, carry on reading because Garnier South Africa has brought two different types of Micellar Cleansing Waters to South Africa to help us with easy make up removal and perfect skin cleansing in a flash. Let me introduce you to the latest in skincare on a budget… the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water which is safe enough for sensitive skin and Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water which is perfect for oily skin.

So lets get down to basics… what is Micellar Cleansing Water? According to Elle Online “Micellar Cleansing Water formula is made of micelles, which are tiny oil molecules which are suspended in a soft water, the micelles are attracted to dirt, grime and oil, and they draw out impurities without drying out your skin.” The idea behind the Micellar Cleansing Water is “rather than containing a foamy solution which strips your skin and leaves behind harsh chemicals, micelles cling onto the dirt and make up on your skin and dissolve them while leaving behind a glowy, hydrated finish.”

To me, I unfortunately had mixed feelings about this “cleanser’ because it seems like a lazy girl’s solution to make up removing. Despite the fact that I could wake up the next morning with skin that was broken out like crazy, I accepted the challenge and tested out the product over a week. On the first day, I removed my day time make up using the Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water, I wet a cotton pad in the Micellar Cleansing Water and begun wiping my face. I watched my make up melt off my skin, so calmly… three cotton pads down and my skin felt amazing.

My skin looked refreshed and so hydrated, it felt soft to the touch, but I wasn’t convinced just yet, I spent the rest of the week testing out the Micellar water. By the time I had completed my week of testing out the product, I’ll agree with Garnier’s statement “perfectly cleansed and refreshed skin without vigorous rubbing or rinsing. A soothing formula without perfume to suit all skin types.” I was impressed, the product has a light gentle scent which makes you think of perfectly cleansed skin with a touch of that “fresh feel”, my make up was removed perfectly, including my waterproof make up without the panda eyes.

Although, my two favourite things about the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is definitely that it is perfect for sensitive eyes and skin, so there is no burning, irritating or uncomfortable skin after using the cleansing water, plus it comes in a 400ml bottle, which I find to be a HUGE saving because it is an “all rounder” cleanser for a fraction of the cost. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water has quickly become an everyday cleanser in my cleansing routine, sometimes if I’m having a make up free day, I use the Micellar Cleansing Water to refresh my skin and give it some “life”. I’d recommend you get your hands on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as soon as possible, it’s a life changing product, you won’t really understand the hype until you’ve tried the product. The Micellar Cleansing Water retails at R79,99 and is available at selected Clicks Stores

  4. I use this product to remove makeup before cleansing and find that it works great! I’m not too crazy that it contains denatured alcohol which is horrible for sensitive skin.

  5. This is my 1st micellar water I’ve ever tried. I prevously never used anything to remove my makeup before clansing and would use oil to remove eye makeup and mascara. I liked it because it got the job done but hated the fact that it would leave me with blurred vision.
I absolutely love using the micellar water to remove facial and eye makeup without irritating or drying my skin in the least.
I love it most for lazy late nights, I can remove my makeup and cleanse my skin in my room just before jumping into bed!
Bonus points for a huge bottle and being extremely affordable!!!
Just purchased the regular version and they are equally awesome!

  6. I love using Micellar water to remove my makeup, it certainly has made my makeup removing routine a lot easier. I keep this and a pack of cotton pads next to my bed. For the first few days, I used just this to remove my makeup, went to sleep and woke up the next morning to my skin looking healthy and fresh.

It removes BB cream or foundation very easily without drying out the skin. This product by Garnier is equally as good as, and much better priced than, the Bioderma one, which retails for about 3 times the price. From now on, I’m only buying the Garnier Micellar Water.

The only reason this product gets 4 stars and not 5 is because it doesn’t remove eye makeup very well, understandably so given the “gentle” nature of the product however it is quite a mission to use one cotton pad for this product and still have to use eye-makeup remover pads.

  7. I have sensitive skin and I’m always looking for something that isn’t harsh but still does an excellent job. Maybe I will give this a try. I do enjoy Garnier Products :)

  8. This product easily removes my make up without the fuss and its affordable too. Leaves my skin feeling fresh and love the packaging.

  9. I love using micellar waters for removing my make-up, and this one works great for me. I have oily skin and I love the refreshed feeling I get from this. It is a light product and a little really goes a long way! It removes impurities and make-up very well, but unfortunately I can never seem to get my mascara off with it. This is a pity as it means I still have to use a separate make-up remover for my eyes. Other than that it’s a lovely product and I can’t wait to use it in summer for a refreshing feeling on my skin.
