  1. I’ve always used Clarins skin illusion but wanted something cheaper yet still the same finish and coverage. I watch a lot of youtube channels and the first time I saw someone use Loreal infallible foundation was Tati Westbrook. I ended up trying it but it oxidized so I went for a lighter colour and since then I love everything about the infallible line. Top this foundation off with an infallible powder and you get flawless looking skin.

  2. So a while ago I was looking for a new foundation. I came across this in Clicks and I remember watching a youtube video by Jeffree Star and he said this was a great quality foundation. So I figured I’d give it a try. Well let me just say its matte and it’s 24-hours that’s for sure. It gets a bit cakey but that’s nothing some fix plus can’t fix. Let’s be honest all foundations get cakey so it’s not a bad thing it just happens.

It comes in a tube and it has a small nozzle where you squeeze the product out of. The labels on this are matte as well. It’s super nifty and if you use the infallible primer with it you are sure to not go wrong.

  3. I use the L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24HR Matte Foundation in the shade 22 Radiant Beige. It comes in a 35Ml tube with a screw on cap. I’ve used this foundation for about a year now and I absolutely love it. I find it works well with my oily skin and holds up against shine for quite a number of hours.

It also minimizes the appearance of pores or fills them in quite well. The foundation is supposed to be high coverage with a matte finish and a semi-thick formula. I find that the coverage is buildable, however, I usually just do one layer of foundation.

I prefer buffing in this foundation with a buffing brush in circular motions, opposed to a beauty blender, as I feel the finish looks a lot better with the brush than the beauty blender. I find I only need a small amount to do my face and neck, which means that it last quite a long time.

This foundation, like most, needs to be set with a powder and then it becomes less transferable on clothes.

  4. I was really excited to try out this product, since I have quite oily skin that I’m always struggling with. I was pleased to see that many beauty personalities recommended this specific foundation, claiming that it’s one of the best drugstore foundations on the market. Alas, I did not love the product as much as I thought I would. The coverage is good and it does last all day, my issue is with the finish of the foundation. It appears caky and dry, the foundation sticks to the dryer patches on my face and it looks awful. I have oily skin so I was really confused when it turned up so dry. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, not even oily skin.

  5. I have somewhat mixed feelings about this foundation. What I like: It’s affordable, it’s matte and does control shine throughout the day without leaving the skin looking lifeless. It has very good coverage, and lasts long without looking patchy. What I don’t like: I find that it blends well only when using a damp beauty blender (when I use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush it exaggerates my pores by settling in them) and the shade range isn’t too great (I have pale skin and bought the Vanilla shade, but it is quite pink in its undertone so needs some bronzer to bring me back to life). Overall, I don’t regret buying it; I do need an affordable matte foundation, but I’ll probably look for alternatives when this one is finished.

  6. I read so many reviews before purchasing this and they all were great… but I don’t like this foundation because it sinks into my pores and looks so bad! I tried different tools/methods but to no avail. It applies quite dry and cakey and dries on the skin quite fast. Positives: The foundation does really last throughout the day and does stay matte, it also doesn’t transfer easily.

  7. I have been using a lot of different foundations lately. This one has stood out the most for me. It’s got a great smell and texture.

I would say that it has not got “Full Coverage” as said on the packaging. However, it can definitely be built up. I don’t feel the need to use powder because it stays MAtt all day for me.

Honestly a great experience using this foundation! My colour match is great. I would say it is a bit pricey. But it is foundation so I would be willing to spend a little extra for a good foundation.

  8. Best foundation ever, lives up to its name, matte… I don’t think I’ll use any other foundation. I use the amber tone and it matches perfectly with my complexion. It lasts long, gives superb coverage and does not leave a greasy feel. It also bends perfectly with concealer.

  9. I took the plunge and bought this on saturday, R189 at clicks and when looking at the small tube it sort of seems like it’s expensive and I had to think twice about buying it. I can say I am very well impressed with it, it is very matte and you can build the cover to perfection but at the same time it looks so smooth and natural. The one thing about it tho is it is a bit drying on my skin, when i first put it on in the morning it makes my face feel dry and tight (kinda like the feeling of the LA girl matte glosses) but then I find that if I apply a bit more moisturizer before applying it then its fine and also about an hour or two into my day when my skin would normally start getting shiny and oily then it kinda balances it out so it works out perfectly!! And lasts all day. I can see this is gonna become a big hit! The little tube it comes in is also super cute!

  10. I already use L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24HR Foundation and was quite keen to try the matte version.

Product information says that you get “… a matte result that lasts up to 24 hours. Clinically proven; waterproof, steamproof. All the comfort, none of the shine. Perfect coverage. No Cakey effect. Easy to apply, enriched with perlite technology, and reduces the appearance of shine up to 24 hours.”

The foundation comes in a tube and I only needed about 2-3 drops to get full coverage. It goes on very easily ( I use a foundation brush) and feels so soft and my skin doesn’t feel clogged. Sometimes with mattifying foundations I find they look too chalky but this one doesnt. It looks natural and fresh and NO SHINE!

I have actually started using this one more than the normal foundation as I find it gives better coverage and I love the mattifying effect it gives to my skin. Its definitely lighter than the other foundation too and easy to wash off at the end of the day.

I was genuinely impressed and the cost is not too bad either!
