  1. This foundation gives full coverage and I apply it with my beauty blender for that airbrushed look. It definitely gives me that glowing, dewy look that i love and – it lasts all day!

  2. this is my second go to foundation, my only issue with this foundation is that it’s a bit thin and takes a little while to dry but other than that i find it’s rather long wear and easy to blend

  3. Mac Pro Long Wear Foundation is creamy and lightweight whilst still giving you a flawless full coverage finish. I have very oily skin especially my T-Zone and I find that this foundation keeps my skin looking matte and lasts all day without caking or fading. The product does last for a good couple of months as a little goes a long way. Mac Pro Long Wear is truly my all time favourite foundation.

  4. An absolute must have gives full coverage and is easy to apply gives a smooth and silky look.
It is not to pricy and the fact that there are mac stores at most Edgars stores is cool.

  5. Ever since ive started using MAC foundation I have not regreted it. This foundation is light weight, smooth, has medium to full coverage and is buildable without looking cakey. It doesn’t really have a distict smell to it (its a mix between makeup smell and paint but it has no smell once its set on your face). I also particularly like that this foundation doesn’t dry matte and it leaves your face looking dewy and fresh, however I would suggest a setting powder or spray because it is quite transferrable. This particular one comes with the pump lid which is really handy, I find that three full pumps is all you need for a full face application. It also comes in a wide variety of shades but I would suggest that if you are buying this for the first time to go to the MAC counter for the makeup artists to help you find your shade because trust me you probably wont be the colour you first thought you were looking at the online swatches and also because the colour names are really not helpful in identifying colours (e.g. NC42).I would definitely recommend this product.

  6. This is my “special occasion” foundation because of the price, the photoshopped effect and the longevity of the product and and and…the list goes on and on! I use it in combination with the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer – with both of these, once you apply it, they DO. NOT. BUDGE. It’s very reliable at an important event. The packing is also very useful as well, the lid has a small ridge to one side where you can slide and hence lock the pump in, making it relatively handbag-friendly. When used in combination with the MAC Prep & Prime Range, your appearance in person is positively flawless. The downside, however, is that this range does not photograph well, especially with a camera flash.
Even with the most expert blending in to the neckline, there is a visible difference in your photos. Be wary of this before you fork out 400 bucks. Brilliant product overall, I would definitely recommend it. This is the longest lasting foundation I have ever used.

  7. I have been through my fair share of foundations and I can easily say that this my favourite! It’s long-lasting and has great coverage. It’s not runny, it has a medium, thick-ish consistency that took well to my combination skin type. It’s super easy to apply with a Mac foundation brush.

  8. I recently went through the long search for a new foundation. As you all know, this is not fun! After trying at least 10 different ones (I was looking for medium-full coverage, oil free and something that would get me through the whole day) I finally settled on MAC Pro Longwear.
I could not be happier with this foundation! I use my fingers to blend (I’ve never been able to get into using a foundation brush) and this foundation really does just blend right in. If you have areas like I do that need some extra coverage for darker marks you can build for the coverage you want.
This is honestly the only foundation that I have ever used that I can put on before I leave the house in the morning and it’s still perfect when I wash my face in the evening. With it being so long lasting, I was worried that it would clog my pores and cause break-outs (which I’m prone to), but this is not the case at all as it is oil-free.
I would highly recommend this product and at R355 it’s affordable too!

  9. This is wonderful. I am always in search of flawless skin and there is only so much night creams and sunblock can help. I have tried a few bases, but this is my number 1!

  10. I have been searching for my Holy Grail of foundations! I’ve found it in Mac Pro Longwear Foundation.
It literally lasts a minimum of 16 hours, without oxidising. It looks freshly applied throughout the day. You would not even have to use powder to set it when applying.

I have very oily skin and have only ever used top name foundations. By 12:00 I look exhausted and my foundation looks “tired” and has oxidised. I usually need to use blotting paper to soak up the excessive oil.

With this foundation, none of this happens. My skin looks fresh the whole day; I never need blotting paper any more. The coverage is medium to well. It isn’t “cakey” whatsoever. It doesn’t settle in fine lines. It’s perfect in the sense of not being matte, but not being luminous either.
