  1. Revlon Ultra Matte Red. Applicator (brush ) glides easily. At first I was reluctant. When applied it looked like runny liquid gloss and after a few seconds, transformed my lips into a matte finish. Impressive, I didn’t have to retouch my lips for the next 6 hours.

  2. Lovely and easily available. It doesn’t really dry up like a matte would. If you are a fan of super matte lip colours then you won’t like this. This has a more lipstick texture. It also wears off easily.

  3. Completely in love with this new matte lipstick. It smooths on your lips, does not leave it dry at all and has a heavenly smell. It stays on the entire day without smudging and comes in an easy to use tube and applicator. I bought the colour “embrace” and it is a lovely rose colour that suits fair skin tones very well.It does however come in a range of gorgeous colours. At R170 for the tube I recommend you get yours today.

  4. Being a Revlon fan I’m always intrigued by their newest product, this HD matte lip colour truly does give a high definition feel and keeping my lips moisturised throughout the wear. This gives a new meaning to matte lip products. Lipstick and lipgloss combined looking effortless gorgeous.
I love the soft applicator and not to mention the colours they come in.
The first application feels the same even after the first hour.

  5. I like this lip colour but it doesn’t dry down 100% matte, so it does transfer quite a bit. If you don’t like sweet scents or just strong scents in general, you might not like this as it has quite a strong custard scent to it. However, the product is nice despite it not being matte.

  6. I have been testing out Revlon’s Ultra HD Matte Lip colour 620 Flirtation, Flirt. It’s a gorgeous coral colour. The colour is really quite stunning. It’s rich and warm and happy, perfect for Spring and Summery days. The type of weather that we (in Durbs) have been having lately. The colour is one of my happy colours and it can brighten up your mood no matter what season you wear it. I think it is quite a versatile colour as you can wear it for day or night time looks. It’s the type of colour you would wear if you want to be noticed and you definitely do get noticed wearing it but in a good way, wink wink! It is not a colour that I usually tend to lean towards as I’m not one to attract a lot of attention but it is lovely and I liked stepping out of my comfort zone for a little bit and you know what they say… ‘Change is as good as a holiday’. I really like the packaging. It fits comfortably in my hand and I love the smooth rounded edges of the container. The container opens easily and the wand comes out smoothly, with just the right amount of lip colour on it. It’s not overly sticky and doesn’t make your lips feel tacky when on. You only have to use a small amount when you want to give your lips just a hint of colour. Or you can layer it up and create a more solid, bold, bright, vibrant colour. The colour is long lasting and doesn’t need to be reapplied too often which is a bonus. My lips don’t feel weighed down by the product, but they do feel soft and moisturised. The smell is delicious – it almost smells good enough to eat.

  7. This was love at first sight with the beautiful packaging, heavenly smell and excellent range of matte colours. I was very impressed with the pigment of this product as the colour you see is the colour you get. The spread of the product is excellent, coverage consistent and the feel is silky smooth. The only problem I found was that the colour does not last on the lips as most matte lip products do – probably due to the silky nature of the product. I would have to reapply the product frequently. This is a big downfall for a matte lip product.

  8. This gloss is packed in the sweetest looking flat shaped container which immediately caught my eye. The container has got a kind off matte frost look to it, which screams matte!

The price is fair although I have found other lip colours that looked exactly the same on my lips for half the price.

It feels great and creamy on the lips with a nice moisturising touch to it. The pigmentation is also great and the way the color looks in the container is the same when you put it on your lips which is a definite thumbs up!

But it’s still not as matte as I would like it to be. I love a powder matte look which this is not.

Other than that it’s a great product which I will definitely recommend to others.

  9. Revlon Lipsticks never disappoint, from their balms to glosses; until this release. I bought the colour “Passion” which is a deep and dark, almost wine red. The colour is wonderful, very pigmented and it does last for long. However, this product will transfer from 1st application to removal. If you touch your mouth by accident, you will get it everywhere. Also, I didn’t find it to be matte. Maybe a semi-matte but not matte as I know it to be. The container is very cute though and it has a very strong, sweet scent which I love in lip products. I also found it to bleed and feather very easily. It is a great colour and yes, very moisturizing on the lip, sitting comfortably. But it needs too much maintenance. The darker colours do stain your lips which I like as it extends wear in most cases.
