I have always been a fan of Essie, if I’m honest it’s because of the way they look. I love the unique, square bottle and their wonderful names (my favorite being my natural shade called ‘Barefoot and Topless’).
The lid is the perfect size to hold comfortably and the brush manages to paint on flat and cover the whole nail. My favorite thing about this polish is that even when you get to the very last bit left, it is still usable. I find that with cheap nail polishes you hardly get past half way!

There is only one nail polish and that’s Essie! It’s affordable, long lasting and the most fantastic colours variations on the market. No matter the season or occasion – Essie has a colour (the perfect colour!) for you.

I am one of very few people that don’t love Essie nail polishes. When I started doing my own manicures I decided to invest in some good products (including Essie) rather than paying someone else to paint my nails for me.
The best thing about Essie is the insane colour range! WOW! No other brand has as many beautiful colours to choose from. I found a few gorgeous nudes that just are not available in the same shades in OPI for example.
The cons:
The brush is very thin. I know a lot of people prefer this for precise application, but I find it tends to leave streaks and doesn’t pick up enough product.
The colours do not last… Mine starts chipping after 2 days (max 3) even when it is professionally done in a salon.
The base and top coats are not amazing and take really long to dry (top coat especially).

Essie is the brand that’s been used on my past 4 pedicures, and I understand why; it lasts a long time before it starts chipping! Great colours too.

The bottle is perfect. It will not roll around as it is square shaped. The essie brand name is also embossed on the bottle. I love it. The varnish doesnt fade and it does chip easily. The perfect varnish for a woman on the go as it dries quick.
