Review: Struggling to sleep? We tested Be Bright Nite Nite supplement

Be Bright Nite Nite

Sleep is one of the most important parts of our lives. Without enough of it, our immune system is compromised, our brain cannot function optimally, and our body is put under immense strain. The sad reality is that many of us don’t get enough sleep, even when we try.

From a racing mind to restless muscles, to stress and anxiety, there are many reasons why South Africans are lying awake at night. And unfortunately, popular tips like drinking chamomile tea or taking a warm bath before bedtime is not enough for the average person to get a good night’s rest.

Be Bright developed Nite Nite (formerly known as Goodnite), a sleep support supplement, to help address this growing problem. Keen to give it a go, our editor took the Nite Nite supplement for one month to see if it made any difference to her sleeping patterns.

What they say:

Nite Nite is your natural solution to restless sleep and drowsy, groggy mornings. This natural blend of harmonising pre-sleep ingredients encourages deep and restorative sleep, bringing your body back into balance and allowing you to start your day relaxed and refreshed.

What we say:

“I first heard about this supplement some time ago when a friend posted on social media about how much it had helped her. When it comes to sleep remedies, it’s fair to say that I have always been somewhat sceptical. I’ve tried several herbal blends in the past, only to be left disappointed.

Having said that, I must clarify that my sleep patterns have never been awful. I try to get to bed at a decent hour, and I don’t often have trouble falling asleep, but in the past few years I’ve started struggling more with restless nights. I manage to fall asleep quite quickly, but find myself waking up several times a night, and often wake up in the morning still feeling tired or groggy.

I’ve taken some Be Bright supplements before, and I’ve had good results, so when the opportunity came up for me to put Nite Nite to the test for one month, I was keen to give it a go. I kept an open mind, and followed the instructions carefully.

I remember my friend saying that you likely won’t experience any results on the first few nights, and I saw that it even says on the website that you need to take this supplement for at least five consecutive days.

For the first few nights, I didn’t notice a difference, but fast-forward to around five or six nights in, and I was beginning to notice results. It wasn’t dramatic – I didn’t go from broken sleep to ten straight hours every night. But slowly, the quality of my sleep was improving. I was waking up less during the night, and when I did, I was able to get back to sleep faster.

When I got up in the morning I felt rested, not half-asleep like I usually do. I seemed to have more energy during the day, allowing me to improve my workouts and get more done, which in turn made me more tired in the evening, resulting in earlier bedtimes. This win-win cycle continued for the rest of the month.

I’m an over-thinker, and I’m well aware that it impacts the quality of my sleep. While taking Nite Nite, it definitely felt like my mind was calmer and I could ‘switch off’ more easily.

This supplement worked well for me, and it’s something I plan on taking again. But, like with all supplements, I must stress that it’s not a miracle cure. I still had the odd ‘off’ night. I still woke up occasionally. But I experienced an overall improvement in my sleep and I had more energy and vitality as a result of it.

Nite Nite contains some fantastic natural ingredients known to help relax the mind and body, such as magnesium, ashwagandha and L-theanine, among others. If you’re struggling to get a good night’s sleep and you want to avoid the medication route, I’d highly recommend giving this a go.

Remember to always ask your doctor about taking new supplements, especially if you have any health conditions or if you are on any medication.” Anien – Editor
