“When I first moved into my own place many years ago, I was determined to use only natural cleaning products. The industry was beginning to change, and the ‘green’ category was growing. I wanted to clean my home with products that were safe for my health and better for the planet.
Unfortunately, my enthusiasm didn’t last long. At the time, the natural cleaning category was very limited, and none of the products I tried worked as well as I needed them to. This left me with the (incorrect) assumption that natural products couldn’t perform as well as the mass market alternatives.
Fast forward a few years, and things began to change. Natural products became available everywhere, and new brands popped up all the time. I decided to give natural cleaning products another try, and I haven’t looked back. With more competition, formulas were improved, and there was a wider variety of products to choose from. The other items in my press drop included the Laundry Liquid, Stain Remover and Stain Remover Pen. The first time I used the Laundry Liquid, I was a little sceptical because it had a bit of a sour scent; however, my fears were not realised, as my washing emerges fresh from the machine every single time I use this. The stain removers go to work quickly to remove all sorts of stains, including food, dirt and makeup. The stain-fighting enzymes go to work quickly and are safe for all types of fabric.
Overall, I have had the best experience with GoodBasics products. This brand is proof that, when formulated well, a natural product can outperform traditional cleaning products. I love how gentle the products are on my health and my home, yet how effective they are in removing dirt and stains.
