Question: Is it really necessary to use a neck cream?

Is it really necessary to use a neck cream? I usually just apply some of my daily moisturiser and my SPF to my neck in the morning. Is this okay? Also, should I be using active ingredients on my neck area?

Answer

Thanks so much for your question, it’s a great one. If you have no specific concerns on your neck and you are happy to maintain the neck using your moisturiser down to your neck and chest, this is perfectly acceptable. If however you’ve developed a specific concern on your neck, like the skin becoming lax or that you’re developing pigmentation or anything like that, then it is advisable to use a cream specific to the condition you’re concerned about on your neck.
