Your party complexion

Your party complexionWe’ve been waiting for this part of the year, well, all year! The sun’s shining, people are buzzing and late nights with friends and family are happening. Get your complexion glowing, whether it’s at that staff party or any of the many others we know you’re just dying to attend. Kick your heels up ladies!

With a light press of the bulb, shower yourself in the gorgeous, subtle glow of Guerlain’s LIU, R870. The perfumed shimmer powder for face, body and hair will linger on your body with a soft scent. Now you can look and smell like a golden girl. It’s the grownup alternative to glitter.

If you tend to fall in love with beautiful beauty products, then get ready to fall head over heels for Guerlain’s Météorites Perles, R570. Perfect for the holiday season, these beads will illuminate your complexion, leaving your face radiant. The coloured beads will even out your complexion while erasing fatigue and brightening the shadowing areas as you party all night.

If you’re looking for an instant lift, Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector, R310, can be worn alone or under your make-up, in the morning or on a big night out. It’ll awaken and refresh your skin and will definitely become a firm fave even after the party season. If you like highlighting your cheekbones and brow bone then try this guy!

With all the fuss around BB Creams this year, how can we not mention them here?! Erborian’s BB Crème Au Ginseng, R399.95, helps unify skin tone, conceal imperfections, moisturises and offers a SPF of 25. Great at a pool party, you’ll get glowing skin with added protection. And it can be used with or without your daily moisturiser and comes in two colours – clear and bronzed.

Add character and a bronzed glow to your cheeks with the Gosh MultiColour Blush, R135. If bronze isn’t what you’re going for (and why not?) then choose the pink pie.

No one needs to worry about looking bad in any light this party season thanks to Revlon PhotoReady Concealer, R125. Infused with special pigments, this concealer hides any flaws, and offers an airbrushed finish with SPF 20.

  1. Revlon’s Photoready Range is amazing! I agree with Ayesh, BB Creams are much too expensive.

  2. I ordered Tarina Tarantino’s Shimmer Dust from the USA: it’s the same product as Guerlains but not scented, also a very very fine ‘mist’ of glitter, and way cheaper, about $30,00 (but it originally was $45,00). Haven’t had the special occasion to wear it, maybe on my birthday (21st this month).

I wonder what the deal is about the Meteorites. Some people even seem to collect them. Maybe I should check them out when I get to a place where they sell them…

The Clarins Perfector works really well. I love it for on my cheekbones! It gives them a glow without being glittery.
