Awww, I just want to buy all these colours. I have so many already, I just can’t get enough. When I pass the essence stand in stores I would spend a half an hour browsing and deciding. These beauties dry amazingly quick and also last long. The brush is so easy to apply the polish.

When I decided to grow my natural nails I knew there would be a challenge of keeping them in fabulous shape because I decided to go the DIY route (nail filing, buffing, nail polish, avoid chipping and breaking etc). Most don’t require top coat to stay glossy, very easy to apply, quick drying time and wait for it…they are very cheap!!! I bought one bottle for R24.99 at Clicks…go get one and give your nails a make-over they deserve, and voila!!! No top coat needed!!!

This nail polish is not the absolute best quality but at R19.95 it really supersedes any expectations.
Its a lovely matte cotton candy pink colour.
It looks a bit lighter in the bottle than what it comes out on my nails but it is still such a cool colour (anyone guessed… I love pink!!)
Pros:
VERY good price. At this price you can buy the whole range, which I almost have!
The brush is quite wide, allowing easy coverage.
It spreads nicely. A little goes a long way.
Cons:
I needed 3 coats to get rid of the brush streaks. But I didn’t use a base coat.
You have to be careful with your mani as it can chip easily if exposed to water (like washing your hair or doing dishes.) Generally it lasts me up to 5 days. I touch up here & there and ads an new top coat every 2-3 days.
All-in-all, I will definitely carry on buying their products!!

This is a very affordable product. I simply love the colours they have in the range. The nude is my absolute favourite colour. I got all of my friends to start buying it!

This is a really cute natural-looking color. The only problem I’ve found is that the nail polish chips very easily. The upside though is that it dries quickly. It’s great to use if you don’t plan on keeping it on for long and it’s easy on the pocket.

We all know Essence cosmetics for their affordability and the wide variety of products that they offer. One of my favourite Essence products is their Colour & Go nail polish. You get complete opacity with one coat (with a base and top coat you get around 8 days of chip-free wear), affordability (these babies retail for R25 for 8ml) and are available in a wide selection of colours. This cute little nail polish comes with a flat broad brush, that covers the entire nail, ensuring speedy but somehow precise application. This is one of South Africa’s most affordable nail polish ranges that offers a wide variety of vibrant colours. Definitely a must-have in my books.

This range has so many gorgeous colours and finishes, and the polish is great quality considering the cheap price tag. If paired with a base and top coat it has pretty good staying power too.

I am a big fan of this nail polish range. Not only is it affordable but it also works like a charm. I really love the brush because it makes applying my nail polish so easy. There so many gorgeous colours in this range that I want to buy all of them. The only problem I have with this product is it does not last very long unless I apply a topcoat over it. But I would definitely be buying it again…
