Avon’s Magix Face Protector had me at “hello”… Anything that says magic on the packaging fascinates me. At first glance the black box and sleek white tube inside indicated a certain type of luxury. And then I opened it. The primer smelt absolutely lovely and glinted slightly – almost like liquid pearls.
Avon’s Magix Face Protector was so smooth it felt like cashmere against my skin. After applying it, my skin also felt velvety, which is exactly what you want from a primer, something that smoothes your skin and preps it for your foundation.
Throughout the day my make-up lasted longer and my skin appeared smoother. I have large pores, and although this product is not magically going to make them disappear, it definitely made them appear smaller. I will definitely keep buying this product in future and would recommend it to anyone.

I wasnt impressed with this primer. The packaging is not attractive, the smell isn’t very nice and gave me a breakout when I 1st used it. Feels heavy after I put on my foundation and makes my foundation slide instead of stay in place. The Avon bb cream makes a better primer than this.

I like how silky this makes my skin feel and it does blur out imperfections but it tends to dry my skin in certain places like around my nose. But makeup looks flawless over it.

Because of my dark skin tone this shade is too light. For me its not a face perfector because it tends to make my face look like its been plastered and give me a “ghostly” look. It also has a sparkle effect that makes it look like my face is too oily and therefore shiny.

I’ve used this product before and I have to say I did not like it at all. I felt and saw no difference when I applied it and after I had applied my foundation over it. Luckily it had been a bottle I was given so I didn’t purchase it. And I won’t. It just didn’t do it for me. :-(

I bought this product a few months ago and I was not impressed. I noticed no difference to be honest, and my foundation didn’t seem to go well over it either. I wouldn’t purchase this product again.

I don’t see what all the fuss is about. its not a great product, i feel it has a funny smell. it does nothing to minimize my pores. i use it on special occasions as a primer, but i don’t see any major advantages to this product.
