I’ve never been huge on using foundation on my skin let alone make-up. I used to be a lipstick only girl, until my sister dragged me to go buy foundation cause Honours graduation was around the corner. I opted for this product cause it didn’t require so much work and it seemed a lot less messier then liquid foundations, and it felt effortless and natural. I’ve been using it for about a full year now and I love it.

The says it all. I bought the Honey Beige and this blends easily on your skin. It leaves velvety smooth finish. Unlike the liquid foundation you need to apply powder to give you the matte finish. No powder is needed for this. The packaging is small and compact. Easy to open and close the cap. You don’t have to worry about messy spillage in your bag.

This is one of my favorite foundations, it was my first ever when I started using make up. It is perfect if you want that flawless ‘no make up’ make up look. It is light on the skin and does not clog pores or cause breakouts. It is perfect for use as an everyday foundation. It has a velvet texture, it is not a compact kind of mousse which makes it easy to use. It is in a small packaging, therefore easy to carry around. It does not last too long therefore, you may need to keep retouching it throughout the day. This is a good one, on account of cost and the quality you get :)

A very light-weight matte-finish foundation that does not look cakey. It blends very well and is buildable providing medium coverage. The major downside is that it rubs off very easily eg. when touching your face. You will easily notice the rubbed off foundation on your clothes and hands. Even when setting with powder, this still happens. Overall, I would say this is a good budget-friendly daytime foundation.

  • I really love the way this blends into the skin with no need for extra powder. It leaves an even and matte finish to the skin and, with a little bit of concealer, works well to hide blemishes. It is not heavily scented and is one of my favourite products…And a little goes a very long way.

This is absolutely the best foundation in summer. It is light and airy, with a slight powdery texture. It lasts a very long time and I find I only need to touch up once or twice.

This product was effective, but not very long-lasting. This product is meant to provide a non-shine foundation finish. It did do successfully, however it rubbed off very easily, which is a nightmare if it gets near your clothes. The packaging is small and convenient. It is quite cute and is perfect to pop into your handbag. It has quite a strong minty smell. It is very light, creamy texture. It smoothes on easily and quickly. This product did work for me, except that it is rubs off very easily. I like how light the texture is and that it spreads easily.

This foundation provides light to medium coverage, without the option to layer as it can leave your face with a cake-y effect. It is smooth and velvety to apply; an absolute pleasure to do so whether you are doing so with your fingers, a brush or a sponge. The whipped formula really is a dream. The matte effect I feel is only valid for a few hours. For someone with oily skin like myself, I would like it to remain matte a bit longer (I often have to touch-up with some powder at some time in the day).
If you are looking for a cheaper option, you can also look at the essence mousse. I personally see no difference between the two and have started buying the essence one because it is cheaper. The colour range is wider than the essence range. I had the misfortune of buying a colour too dark and have thus started using this product as a contour shade rather than a foundation.
A downside is the shape of the bottle it comes in as it is sometimes difficult to get the last bits of the product from the edges. Overall, I would recommend this product.

I have very oily skin, and matte make-up products are my miracle workers. When I first saw this product, I didn’t hesitate to try it out. It did a great job and left my skin looking matte. I just wish it stayed on the entire day.
