Reminders Of Him opens in cinemas this Friday 20 March 2026, and if you’re a Colleen Hoover fan, you are going to love this heartfelt drama.
The literary phenomenon from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover becomes a transformative feature film about motherhood, forgiveness and the power of love to overcome even the worst mistake.
After a perfect outing with her boyfriend, Kenna (Maika Monroe) makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison. Seven years later, Kenna returns to her hometown in Wyoming, hoping to rebuild her life and earn the chance to reunite with her young daughter, Diem, whom she has never known.
When Diem’s custodial grandparents adamantly refuse Kenna’s attempts to see her daughter, Kenna discovers unexpected compassion, and then something truer and deeper, with former NFL player and local bar owner Ledger (Tyriq Withers). As their secret romance develops, so do the dangers for both of them, leading Kenna toward heartbreak and, ultimately, the hope for a second chance.
The film’s cast includes screen legends Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) and three-time Emmy winner Bradley Whitford (Get Out, The Handmaid’s Tale) as Diem’s grandparents, Grace and Patrick; Rudy Pankow (Outer Banks, Uncharted) as Scotty, Diem’s father; and Grammy winner and country music sensation Lainey Wilson (Yellowstone) as Kenna’s friend and coworker, Amy.

We attended the pre-screening and absolutely loved the film.
“If you’re familiar with Colleen Hoover novels, you’ll already have a pretty good feel for the type of story this film tells. Heartfelt and emotional, Reminders Of Him beautifully captures the power of love and forgiveness in an otherwise unbearable situation.
The film takes the viewer on an emotional rollercoaster, from feeling sorry for Kenna’s character at the beginning to anger towards her daughter’s grandparents, to hope for a happy ending. There is no black-and-white in this film; instead, we’re made to understand both sides of the story and the impossible situation the characters find themselves in. Although the film tackles some pretty emotional content, its many humorous and heartfelt moments prevent it from becoming too heavy.
The acting is fantastic. Maika Monroe and Tyriq Withers are simply brilliant and utterly convincing in their roles. They bring the story to life and keep you rooting for their characters’ fates from start to finish. Reminders Of Him is the kind of story that will stay with you long after the credits have ended.
This is the perfect film for an evening out with the girls. I highly recommend catching it on the big screen while you can.”
