What we say: It was my first time visiting The Spa at The Cape Grace. Tucked away on the top floor of the award-winning hotel, it is little gem. The spa itself is small in size, but offers a treatment range that will tickle anyone’s fancy. I got to experience the Vichy Shower Detox Treatment. I was very intrigued when I walked into the room and saw this large bathtub/Jacuzzi/bed all-in-one type machine. My therapist made me lie down on this tub (it had a flat surface) and covered me.
The first part of the treatment was a full body scrub. It was very weird to have someone else scrubbing my back, arms and legs for me as I have never been treated to something like this before and I must admit I felt slightly awkward in the beginning until I started to relax. My therapist then pulled a glass layer over me (excluding my face) where the showerheads and lights are situated. I lay there while Vichy Spa Water showered down onto my body and light therapy went on in the background. With slight vibrations coming from the cocoon, I was now totally relaxed and ready to sleep.
I then got to shower and rinse off the remaining scrub after which my body was coated in delicious body butter and was treated to a massage to end off the treatment.
This is the perfect gift to give a loved one this festive season, as it is so different and unique. I really do recommend visiting the spa if you have not done so before.
