“I recently had the pleasure of meeting Skin Renewal’s founders – Dr Maureen Allem and Victor Snyders – at their gorgeous Claremont branch, where I was introduced to the new skincare range.
It’s safe to say my expectations were high. With the reputation Skin Renewal has built over 21 years, I knew they wouldn’t launch anything unless it was exceptional.
So let’s unpack the collection. The range comprises over 20 specially designed products that complement Skin Renewal’s in-clinic treatments and address the various skincare concerns faced by South Africans.
These medical-grade products are designed to deliver visible results, and when used in conjunction with a Skin Renewal professional treatment plan, you can expect impressive long-term results.
The products weren’t designed at random. They were crafted to work together synergistically, and each product contains various active ingredients, so you can enjoy multiple benefits without applying multiple products. That means a simpler routine that takes up less time and fewer products to budget for, saving you money.
The thing that surprised me the most, and actually caught me off guard, was the products’ affordable price points. Medical-grade skincare comes at a premium price for various reasons. You have to consider the research conducted, the quality of ingredients, the import costs (for international brands), taxes and distribution. Before you know it, you’ve spent thousands on your monthly routine.
Skin Renewal products are surprisingly affordable. The most expensive cleanser is R325. Depending on the ingredients, you can expect to pay between R500 and R900 for most of the serums and moisturisers—only a handful of advanced products in the range retail for over R1000.
