Environ RAD Shield Mineral Sunscreen, R435.00
Now more than ever, consumers are paying attention to the number of chemicals present in sunscreens, and their long-term effects on the body. Research has indicated that the skin absorbs the chemicals in sunscreen and some of them can become aggressive free radicals. Higher SPF products offer very little extra protection, but contain higher concentrations of potentially harmful chemical ingredients. With this in mind, Environ designed their latest sunscreen, which has an SPF of 15 (which means 93.3% of UVB rays are absorbed) and is enriched with antioxidants to help combat the effects of free radicals. This sunscreen provides a powerful physical block from the sun with the use of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. In addition, it contains Venuceane, a heat-adaptive ingredient to help counteract the damaging effects of infrared radiation. How can you ensure that an SPF15 provides you with all the protection that you need? Simply apply it more frequently.

Gatineau Perfection Ultime Skin Perfecting Cream-Serum, R1150.00
Feeling stressed? The effects are going to show on the skin. When we are stressed, our bodies produce high levels of the stress hormone cortisol. This hormone releases sugars that are intended to be used as energy. When the body has high levels of cortisol, these sugars create inflammation and damages the skin’s collagen and elastin. The latest release from Gatineau was designed to help soothe and nourish stressed out skin. It contains Neurophroline™ from the precious Wild Indigo Extract, native to Central America, which is renowned for its soothing benefits on the skin. This exclusive extract is like a ‘de-stress express’ for skin cells as it has demonstrated its unique ability to break down the cortisol production by skin cells. Couple this with the antioxidant-rich flowering herb Centella Asiatica, famed for its multiple anti-ageing benefits, it is considered a magic wand for inflamed and stressed skin. It also contains white tea (which has high levels of antioxidants), hyaluronic acid (the key to hydrated skin) and Patch H20, a rich combination of plant sugars and brown algae that delivers a flood of skin replenishing phyto-nutrients. A real treat for the skin!

  1. Thank you @beautysouthafrica for the recommendations! I have tried the Inoar Résistance shampoo and conditioner and love the product. It smells devine, foams beautifully and my hair felt and looked great. I do have a small complaint though, ie
I really struggled to squeeze both products out of the bottle. The consistency seems very think. Maybe the cold weather?
