Ferragamo Fiamma Eau de Parfum is the newest member of the Ferragamo fragrance family, and it’s the first feminine fragrance created under the creative direction of visionary designer Maximilian Davis.
Contemporary yet classic, Fiamma encapsulates the House’s rich heritage while offering a fresh take on modern sensuality. Curious about its scent? Our editor has been wearing this fragrance for the past couple of days and has this to say:
“The word ‘Fiamma’ is Italian for ‘flame,’ and while I wouldn’t necessarily describe this as a fiery scent, the word perfectly encapsulates the fragrance. Fiamma is enlightening and inspiring, full of energy and vitality.
The Ferragamo woman is confident, bold and timeless – the type of woman I would describe as a ‘flame.’ I like to think of Fiamma as the flame that ignites a woman’s confidence and self-expression.
On first impressions, I absolutely loved the bottle design. The organic bottle shape is unique and sophisticated, and the high-shine gold exudes a sense of Italian luxury.
Fiamma is described as a woody floral fragrance, which is perfect for the warmer months ahead. It contains the ideal balance of fresh, floral and woody fragrance notes, resulting in a scent that’s feminine, sensual and modern.
The opening notes include white pear, nectarine, cherry, ambrette saffron and calendula. When you first spritz it, the fragrance is vibrant and radiant, capturing the energy of the Ferragamo woman with its uplifting combination of fragrance notes.
After a little bit of time, the beautiful floral fragrance notes at the heart of Fiamma come to the fore. Jasmine, gardenia, honeysuckle and damask rose give the fragrance its sensual appeal. The dry down is both sophisticated and alluring, thanks to warm base notes of ambrox, patchouli, musk and sugar musk.
If I had to describe this fragrance, I would say it is intensely feminine, warm, alluring and elegant. This is not a ‘fashionable’ fragrance. You won’t wear it for a season and then get tired of it. This is a classic scent; the type of fragrance that remains relevant and appealing as time passes. You can wear it all year round, and I don’t believe it’s age- or demographic-specific. I think it is equally appealing to both younger and mature women.
Fiamma’s scent profile exudes luxury. It smells expensive, and it looks the part too. I’m impressed by its longevity; a couple of spritzes are enough to get me through a whole day, as the base notes linger on my skin for hours.
I was also impressed to learn that the fragrance contains over 80% biodegradable ingredients, and that the 100ml bottle is designed to be refillable, reducing waste and helping you save when you refill instead of purchasing a new bottle.
I can see this fragrance becoming my go-to for the summer season!” Anien – Editor
