Are you a woman for women?

Are you a woman for women? 1

When you hear Cindy Nell-Roberts’s name, your first thought is probably ‘Miss South Africa.’ Or, if you’re a beauty product junkie like us, you’ll think of Cosmetix – Cindy’s successful company that brings brands like essence and CATRICE to SA shores. But did you know that she also heads up a non-profit NPO that focuses on empowering women?

Women4Women aims to improve the lives of less fortunate girls and women across South Africa. The organisation helps women of all ages and backgrounds to develop skills, get bursaries and find jobs, so that they can reach their full potential (yes please, we need more of this!).

So how did it all begin? After working closely with charity organisations for over 15 years, Cindy discovered that her true passion was helping women to improve their lives. “I plan on using my years of experience in the industry and my contacts to do good and give back; we have a moral obligation to help improve our country and economy,” she said. And so far she’s done just that. The organisation has provided employment at the Cosmetix warehouse and factory for women from abuse shelters, hosted makeup and grooming workshops for young abused teens, secured 20 skills development courses for nail therapists and much, much more.

Women4Women has partnered with the Mrs South Africa pageant, as well as End Girl Hate and Look Good Feel Better to help better the lives of all South African women. There are two major goals for 2018: raise enough finds to grant 10 girls bursaries either towards high school or tertiary studies, and to support 10 charities selected from the top 25 Mrs South Africa Projects around the country. Yay for girl power!

If you’re keen to get involved, visit women4women.co.za. No act of kindness is too small and there are various ways of contributing. After all, girls slay better when we slay together!

  1. This is what we on earth for, not just for ourselves but to make a positive impact in other people’s lives and for future generations to come… like the saying goes ” don’t give the man fish, but teach him how to fish, so that he himself can provide for his family in the long run”

  2. I am up for it, I’ll enjoy helping women and girls. I am a makeup artist and I do girls that can’t afford a makeup artist for their matric dance for free
