Summer is slowly drawing to an end, and as we soak up the last of the beach days and lazy afternoons in the sun, we’re also starting to transition to beauty products that accommodate the slightly cooler weather.
That said, we’re not quite ready to pack away our summer favourites just yet. Our editorial team has compiled a selection of beauty products they’ve been loving – and that they’ll carry into autumn.
Noodees Daily-Glow Face Polish Powder (R199.00 for 20 sachets) and On-The-Go Hand Wash Powder (R179.00 for 20 sachets)

“I’ve seen several impressive eco-friendly beauty launches in the past year, but nothing close to Noodees. The brand currently has two products available, and their unique packaging makes them unlike anything else I’ve seen. The Face Polish Powder and Hand Wash Powder are housed in individual paper sachets in a little box. When you’re ready to use it, you tear the top off and pour the powder into the palm of your hand before mixing in a little water to create the right consistency. It’s convenient for travelling, and the hand wash is great to keep in your handbag when you visit a public toilet. The sachet that houses the powder dissolves under running water – how incredible? Nothing is wasted, and nothing ends up in a landfill. Both formulas are non-toxic, vegan, and free from plastic, parabens, sulphates, silicone, GMOs, and other nasty substances. I’m obsessed and cannot wait to see what they do next.”
Guess Seductive Dream Eau de Toilette 75ml (R999.00)

“Brand new from Guess, Seductive Dream is launching exclusively in Clicks stores this month, but we’ve been testing it over the past few weeks. This dreamy bottle is the absolute perfect fit for the floral, fruity amber juice inside. Feminine, sensual and sweet, this enchanting fragrance contains notes of crisp pear, Eden apple, bergamot, white gardenia, rose, vanilla sugar and amber woods for a scent that’s fun and flirty. It has impressive lasting power and is a lovely choice for a date night or drinks with the girls. Plus, the bottle is SO pretty! What a gorgeous addition to any dressing table.”
SKIN functional Breakout Management 2% Acnoclear Complex (R250.00)

“SKIN functional has launched many fantastic products in the last year, and new ones seem to keep coming. This serum is a great addition to your skincare regime if you have oily or combination skin and struggle with breakouts. It contains spot-busting benzoyl peroxide and SKIN functional’s trademarked complex, Acnoclear (a potent complex combining active ingredients for maximum efficacy), to target breakouts and soothe inflammation. It has a lovely lightweight texture that absorbs quickly, and best of all, it goes to work fast. It’s affordable without compromising on ingredients – just the way we like it.”
Heliocare 360˚ Body Glow SPF50+ Sunscreen (R690.00)

“This has been one of my favourite sunscreens this summer, and I’ll use it for as long as I can until winter! This luxurious body sunscreen offers more than just broad-spectrum sun protection: it gives your skin the most beautiful sun-kissed glow. It has an oil-gel texture suitable for all skin types and a gorgeous summery scent. Lightweight, with no greasy residue, its fine shimmer particles leave skin looking radiant. It also contains Heliocare’s signature Fernblock+® Technology, which prevents and repairs free radical damage caused by sun exposure. I cannot get enough of it; it is simply gorgeous.”
Shower to Shower Even Tone Roll-on (R22.99) & Deodorant (R39.99)

“I used Shower to Shower products long before I started working in beauty, as I always found the brand to offer exceptional value. Their new deodorants are not just affordable – they also work hard! Specially formulated to help women restore their skin tone, they’re enriched with vitamins B3 and C to reduce uneven skin tone and discolouration. Both formulas are alcohol-free to prevent skin rashes and irritation. They smell fantastic – subtle and fresh but not overpowering.”
Revlon Colorstay Multi-Liner (R219.95)

“Liner that goes anywhere? Yes, please! I love multi-tasking makeup – the fewer products I need to use in the morning, the better! These new liners are Revlon’s first liners with a built-in brush, and they’re designed for the lips, face and eyes… How, you might ask? They’re suitable for contouring, lip lining, freckles, highlighting and creating definition. The creamy vegan formula glides on effortlessly – really! It’s super soft and highly pigmented. The precision blending brush can be used to create a soft, blurred effect. This liner is available in seven neutral shades and one highlighter shade. They have become my ultimate go-to liners!”
SKNLogic Exfoliate Enzymatic (R240.00)

“This newly reformulated skin polisher is just what you need to slough off dry and dead skin cells and reveal a smoother and brighter complexion. It contains protease enzymes and papaya & pineapple extracts to break down proteins that bind dead skin cells together, allowing thorough exfoliation. The new formula also contains added glycolic acid and malic acid, two alpha hydroxy acids that penetrate deeper into the skin. The combination of enzymatic and chemical exfoliation offers comprehensive exfoliating action to reveal better results, including enhanced skin cell turnover, refined skin texture, improved tone and brighter skin. I love that it’s still gentle despite its effective exfoliating action.”
Fundamentals Skincare 2% Niacinamide Nourishing Body Yoghurt (R250.00)

“I have been loving the Fundamentals body care range ever since they launched their delectable Body Scrubs last year, and it didn’t take long for this body cream to become a favourite too. It’s fragrance-free, so it doesn’t interfere with your perfume or body mist, and it contains niacinamide to help address uneven skin tone or dark marks on the body. It has a lovely, rich, hydrating formula (think a body butter kind of texture) and is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. I’m already enjoying it now, but I know it will be a lifesaver come winter!”
