What an at-home oil treatment can do for you

A trip to your hairstylist every 14 days for a treatment can be quite costly in the long run. Instead, why not give your hair a nourishing treatment at home?
Depending on your hair concerns, regular treatments are essential for maintaining healthy hair.

For promoting hair growth
A healthy scalp means healthy hair. Castor oil can help to improve circulation on the scalp. Oils also have a strengthening effect on hair follicles and can stimulate hair growth in cases of alopecia. Try Jamaican Black Castor Oil, R89.99, to add extra moisture to dry and brittle hair.

For dry, brittle hair
A hot oil treatment gives hair a deep conditioning treatment and prevents damage by moisturising dry, brittle hair. Olive oil is one of the best oils for treating dry hair. Massage it gently onto scalp. Rinse off after 30 minutes.

For healthy hair
Dark and Lovely Amla Oil helps to maintain the health of your strands by reducing hair loss and thinning. Simply massage some Amla Oil onto the scalp and hair. Wrap your head with a shower cap and a warm towel. Rinse it off after 15 minutes. For even better results, leave it overnight and rinse it off in the morning. Do this treatment at least every 14 days.

Hair tip: Cocktail castor oil with olive oil and Amla Oil for optimum results when treating your hair.

  1. I use Avon Argan Oil treatment in my hair. I warm it a little and leave it on overnight. My hair feels soft and shiny, and it smells great as well.

  2. I have super dry hair. I’ve never tried a hot oil treatment, maybe it’s exactly what I need for healthy hair and some growth… I heard a lot about Jamaican Black Castor Oil, I should get some…. Where can I find it though? Please supply more details.

  3. I agree with using Jamaican Black castor oil to promote hair growth. It has worked for me. I use coconut oil for a hot oil treatment once in two weeks! I love the results so far.
