I must admit I have never been a fan of facial products – I never really thought I needed to use them. Until I developed some weird dark marks, that is.
So I thought: why not take some Garnier products on a test for a month – got nothing to lose, but all to gain. Garnier’s skincare range, Garnier Even, claims to be specially formulated to moisturise and enhance the shine and softness of black skin, while making the skin tone more even.
So I started with the Garnier Even & Matte Toner; it really has a smooth, soft feel (nice!) and my skin felt smoother every time I used it.
In the mornings I applied the Garnier Even Smooth & Perfect Daily Oil Moisturiser with SPF15.
It comprises the following ingredients: pure lemon essence, gentian extract, vitamin C and UVA and UVB, which promises a formula that not only protects your skin from the sun and minimises those wretched dark marks but also nourishes your face all day long.
The last thing I need is an oiIy pillow, so in the evenings after toning, I applied Garnier Even Skin Tone & Shine Control Moisturiser. I figured that with its non-greasy formula and mattifying clay it would help absorb the excess oil produced by my oily skin. Garnier did not fail. It worked from the first night.
Now I am sold on the Garnier brand and def give it a thumbs up.
