Cuticle oils we know you’ll love

Thursday, 17 July 2014

No matter how hard we may try, our hands and nails really take a beating during winter. They are one of the few areas exposed to the effects of the cold, wind, heaters and air conditioning, which dries them out and can make them red and sensitive. If this sounds familiar, it’s time you invest in a good cuticle oil that moisturises, softens and nourishes the skin around the nail.

Apply as often as you wish (but especially at night before bed) and massage the oil into the skin for best results. Do this often enough, and you’ll find your cuticles looking fab all winter long.

Here, a few of the cuticle oils we’re loving at the moment:

Cuticle-oils

SpaRitual Cuti-Cocktail Pen, R193
Milk Solutions Milk & Honey Cuticle Oil, R60
Nurture Cuticle Oil, R77
Sally Hansen Cuticle Rehab
Essence Studio Nails Caring Nail Oil, R39.95

I’ve been using Obey your body cuticle oil for about a year now and I’m not too sure if it is worth it or has done anything amazing for my nails… My nails still break off after a certain point

I’ve heard such good things about these cuticle oils, but I haven’t gotten around to using them!

It’s one of those products that I really don’t have much interest in. I push my cuticles back after taking a shower and apply some bio oil to my hands before I put on body lotion all over. I find that it keeps my hands and cuticles in check without any fuss.

I have been using the Nuture Oil for a couple of years now and I have not found anything better. I use it on my natural nails as well as when I have acrylics done.
