I’m losing a lot of hair, especially after washing it. How do I know whether the normal amount is falling out or it’s excessive?
Gaby Kriel, Blowdrying and Heat Styling Expert at Tanaz, responds:
“On average, every person looses 100 hairs per day. The easiest way to monitor it is to catch your hair that falls out in the shower/bath and keep it in plastic bags. Then you can see if the hair loss is getting worse, or better. Definite signs of alopecia will be visible thinning or balding spots around the scalp. Recommended products would be the Phillip Kingsley Stimulating Scalp Mask as well as the Phillip Kingsley Scalp Toner and Soy Protein capsules.”

My hair has also started thinning and falling a lot lately. I have now started doing oil treatments at least once a week. Still too early to tell, but hopefully it will help.
