The majority of women have heard of the benefits of using an eyelash curler, but have been too nervous to give it a try. This little beauty tool might look like a torture device, but if used correctly, it doesn’t put you in any danger whatsoever! It puts a curl and a lift in your top lashes, which in turn opens your eyes and makes you look wide awake. It’s also the perfect tool for anyone who doesn’t like wearing a lot of make-up, as it makes a significant difference to your look without requiring much time or effort.
Follow these simple steps and put your fears of the eyelash curler behind you!
Step 1
Make sure your lashes are clean (this means no mascara or eyelash gel / serum) and completely dry. Open your eyelash curler and position it so that your upper lashes fit in between the two sides of the curler. Be sure to keep both your eyes open while doing this.
Step 2
Bring the curler as close as possible to your lash line, but be careful not to pinch your eyelid! Gently clamp down so that the opening closes and your lashes are tucked in firmly.
Step 3
Hold it down for ten seconds. If you want extra volume, you can repeat the process.
Tips
It’s easier to start at the inner corner of your eye and move outwards.
A deep black mascara will show off the effects of the curler the best.

I love my eyelash curler. I use mine every day then apply my mascara. I often get compliments on how long my lashes look. I never use false eyelashes as my eyelash curler and mascara is all I need to get fab eyelashes.

I love to use my eyelash curler. The first time I got one it was for my birthday and at first I didn’t know how to use it until my sister showed me but after that I couldn’t use mascara without starting with my curler. My days of having eyelashes curling on the opposite side were over.♥♥♥

My sister used my eyelash curler with mascara a few times and I didn’t notice. The next time I used it it was sticky n kinda stuck to my lashes. I ended up chopping a few of my lashes! I didn’t use 1 for a very long time after that but then bought a good 1 and kept it away from my sister Lol

It really does work. I would die without mine.

Love my eyelash curler. A good tip I learnt from a professional make-up artist recently, is to apply mascara to the top of your upper lashes, as well as the underside. Apply to the top first, and then as you usually would – you will see an immediate difference. It’s a simply way to get thicker lashes because you’re completely coating your lashes in mascara. x

I’ve tried a number of eyelash curlers but my lashes are so thin and sparse – the only thing that curls my lashes is actually a great mascara.

I love eyelash curlers, it is part of my routine. I especially love a heated one.

Hey Azraa,
How do your heat the eyelash curler? I have one with a rubber-ish handle. Do I dip in warm water, or? Because I’ve got no clue!
Thanks! xx

I’ve used this thing in so many different ways – never thought to find out the correct way.

I bought me an eyelash curler years ago but never used it as I was too scared but with these tips I feel a bit more confident!

I must admit I am abit clumsy when it comes to these things. It would be the perfect tool to create lush lashes but I just cant bring myself to use it.
