Angel Nova is the newest fragrance to join the iconic Mugler family. The original Angel by Mugler fragrance was released in 1992 and has since become a classic.
Angel Nova has been called “a fragrance of super femininity.” A fruity-floral-woody scent, this eau de parfum is filled with an abundance of vibrant, juicy and intoxicating ingredients. It celebrates creativity, imagination and all that is daring, while encouraging women to reinvent themselves.
What can you expect from the fragrance?
The scent you first experience is that of raspberry. Along with lychee, the top notes are sweet and colourful, offering a fruity addiction. At the heart of this scent, you’ll find Damask rose, an intoxicating natural rose enhanced by a double extraction process. At the base, the woody structure of Akigalawood and Benzoin is revealed, giving the scent a boost of power.
Did you know that this is the first Mugler perfume made using upcycling?
The “Mugler rose,” as it’s known, comes from a double extraction, a process requiring classic distillation and biotechnology. The Damask Mugler roses generate natural residues in the first distillation process. Once distilled, they no longer have any scent. These scentless petals retain their colour, and undergo a second extraction by means of a biotechnological extraction innovation, that, almost magically, reveals a new scent!
By using the already distilled rose petals a second time, Mugler saves them from early destruction. This is a first for the fragrance world and has never been seen in perfumery until now!
Every size of the new Angel Nova fragrance comes in a refillable bottle, meaning you can refill your bottle when it’s empty, cherishing your everlasting bottle forever and helping reduce the production of excess packaging and waste! Did you know that since 1992, Mugler fragrances have had 34 million bottles refilled? That amounts to a bottle being refilled every 23 seconds.

Angel is such an iconic scent, and one that will never date. Though the original fragrance is at the centre of every Mugler lover’s heart, the other Angel variants have earned their right in the spotlight. Angel Nova is no different, in fact, it’s my favourite Angel variant. I’m a big rose fan, and the intoxicating Damask rose at the heart of this scent is what sold it to me. It’s warm, it’s inviting and intensely feminine. And let’s not forget the bottle: the iconic star-shaped design is back, but this time in a fun and flirty fuchsia – my favourite for Spring! I highly recommend purchasing refillable fragrance bottles as we all need to do our bit to help cut back on waste and excess packaging, so I was absolutely thrilled to hear that Angel Nova is available in refillable bottles in every size. A real winner on all fronts.
