Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics is finally available in SA on cloutgrp.com, and while it’s been a long wait, it’s been worth it! Ahead of its time, the brand was born around twenty-five years ago, and from day one, they’ve aimed to be the cleanest luxury beauty brand in the world.

We recently attended the media launch, and had the opportunity to test a few products from the range:
“I’ve always admired Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics from afar, but now that the brand’s available in SA, I’ve had the opportunity to put a number of their products to the test. I’m a big fan of multi-functional makeup products, and one of the things I love most about this brand, is that the makeup formulas offer additional skincare benefits.

Each product is packed with deep-sea minerals and botanical extracts that nourish skin while offering flawless coverage or high colour payoff. While there are plenty of natural and clean skincare brands around, the natural makeup category has been seriously lacking. There are very few foundations available that you can apply after a cosmetic procedure and many of the natural makeup products on shelf are either not great quality, or they’re not diverse enough in terms of the shades available. Now, we finally have access to luxe makeup with natural and clean formulations, in a diverse variety of shades.
While I’ve enjoyed all the products I’ve tried so far, there are definitely a few that stand out. My number one product is probably the Power Couple Mineral Lengthening Mascara and Mascara Primer Duo. The lash-enhancing primer contains coconut oil to condition lashes and to amplify the effects of your mascara, leaving your lashes looking fuller and longer. The mascara is really effective in giving you more dramatic lashes, both in terms of length and volume. I love the brush – it applies so easily and I never get any clumps. Plus, it’s smudge-roof and doesn’t flake.
The Weekender Palette is the all-in-one product we all need in our lives. Whether you’re going for neutral or glam, it is packed with a variety of highly pigmented colours to suit all skin tones. It contains nine eyeshadow shades (a mix of matte, satins and metallics), two blushes and two highlighters, all in one practical palette. I find the formulas really long-lasing and they feel ultra-luxurious on the skin.
If I had to choose a third favourite, it would have to be the Mini Créme Blush Stick. Available in eight shades, these handy makeup sticks can be used on the cheeks or lips. The formula melts into your skin and blends with ease. The colour is buildable, but because the product is highly pigmented, you really only need one swipe.
My expectations were high, but they’ve been met. Everything about this brand screams ‘luxe,’ from the packaging to the texture of the formulas. I love that the products are clean, that they contain nourishing ingredients and that they feel luxurious on my skin. Here’s to one of the most anticipated launches of 2025!”
