Your party eyes

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, so let them be with these hot eye products. Go bold. And have some fun!

Your party eyes

When you try the Black Up Waterproof Smoky Khol Pencil, you’ll want one in every shade to match all your cocktail dresses this season. Soft on the eye, they glide on smoothly and last for hours. You really can create precise lines, so for newbies at applying liner, it’s a win!

Get in touch with your playful side like Betty Boop with Lancôme’s Hypnôse Star mascara, R315. Take inspiration from Betty and Dorria Watt and make sure you get the intense volume and curl from your lashes that you’re looking for.

But if you don’t have them, fake them! Invest in a pair of fake eyelashes to ‘joosch’ up your look and make a statement. Remember, practice makes perfect though, so give yourself time when applying. Katy Perry Lashes, R79.95, has an awesome range available that will tickle everybody’s fancy.

Late night partying does tend to catch up with us eventually. Those dark rings under our eyes unfortunately give it away. But with Almay Wake Up Under Eye Concealer, R155, you can brighten the eye and reduce puffiness. This creamy concealer with water, cucumber and minerals will help you look well rested.

These are two products that should definitely be on your wish list, and then if Santa’s decided you’ve been a good girl, in your beauty bag. YSL Pure Chromatics Wet/Dry Eye Shadow, R590, and Chanel Harmonie Du Soir Quadra Eye Shadow, R600, will add the perfect shades to your eyes. The four different colours in each pallet allow you to blend or use individually in one compact container.

  1. I use my MAC eye shadows when I go out. I love them as they’re bright and blend easily. They are pricey but they are totally worth every cent.

  2. Perhaps now would be a good time to ‘retry’ false eyelashes – they do boost a party look (just a little tricky if you’re not used to them).

  3. I can not manage these one line by myself, I find them hard to put on straight even though the girls at the department store showed me! but put in professionally it was gorgeous….

  4. Will try Katy Perry lashes next, but serious need a lot of practice! Step by step tutorial anyone?

  5. I love eyeliner and I hate the fact that most of them smudge too much…gng to give the black up a try..
