What is the best heat protector for African hair?

Hi I recently purchased a ghd iv styler & I would like to know what is the best heat protectant for natural African hair. Is it advisable to iron the hair with nothing on? I did my moms & sisters hair and used bone straight, the hair did not come out like in the salons and if I iron it with a serum on it burns. The hair also does not come out very flowing and light. My cousin did my sisters hair once with no product or heat protectant &; it came out amazing, can I do my hair like this?

My first advice for heat styling is that, when buying a hot iron always buy the one with adjustable heat setting because African Hair requires low heat due to its fragile condition & yes it is very very important to use heatproof products for protection as this will prevent thermal damage & here is a list of thermal protectors ranging from professional to one that u can get from cosmetics shops

Joico K pak smoothing balm

Pantene pro-v fine

optimum care heat balm

Tresemme heat tamer

CHI-44 iron guard thermal protection

Hope this will be help people out there, keep well & thank you.

Is it safe to colour my hair if i’m trying to keep it natural?

Hi Brian, I’ve stopped relaxing my hair since May last year, 16 months ago. I am trying to stay natural which is a difficult task but I am trying. My question is, is it safe to colour my hair I’ve got lots of grey in the front but I’m scared it may cause damage if I do colour the grey. My hair did break after my baby was born. Thank you!

Can you suggest an all-in-one hair mask?

Do you know of a (all-in-one) hair mask, deep conditioning hair treatment and/or hair care recipe that after just one treatment gives instant body, bounce, movement, touchable, softness and shine to fine, dull, flat, straight, limp, lifeless hair with some flyaway. I am Caucasian (white) and my hair color is natural medium strawberry blonde?
