If you love braids as much as we do, you’ll be happy to know that the popular fishtail braid is still as on-trend as ever. In our opinion, a fishtail braid can elevate any outfit and it is just plain gorgeous.
Whether you’re going to a formal event or you’re hanging out at the beach, a fishtail braid can be styled to suit any occasion. Not sure how to create a fishtail braid? We’ve put together a step-by-step guide to help you get this “it” hairstyle.
Step 1: Divide your hair into a middle parting and pull all of your hair over to one side.
Step 2: Using a disposable rubber band, pull your hair into a low ponytail and then split the hair into two equal sections, holding one in each hand (We’ll refer to the two sections as Section A and Section B).
Step 3: Take a small piece of hair (about 1-2cm) from the outside of Section A and join it with the inside of Section B, then pull tight.
Step 4: Take a small piece of hair (about 1-2cm) from the outside of Section B and join it with the inside of Section A, then pull tight.
Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have roughly 4cm of hair left to work with.
Step 6: Join Section A and Section B and fasten with a hair elastic.
Step 7: Snip the rubber band at the top of your braid (be careful not to snip any hair).
Step 8: Fishtail braids look best when they have a slightly lived-in feel, so we suggest pulling the braid slightly apart to create a sense of volume.

Does Folic Acid help with hair growth too?
