It takes courage to go nude, but it’s the perfect shade to sport around the office. A nude lipstick will go with all other make-up and polish off your look. Here are some tips on how to go nude and some of our favourite shades.
1. Choosing a nude shade
Always go for a shade that’s lighter or darker than your skin colour. Never opt for one that is the same shade as your skin as you may look mouth less.
- 2. Complexion and colour
If you have quite a fair complexion, opt for nudes that are light in shade or have a pink or peach tone to them. If you are darker, consider a beige nude.
- 3. Test drive the shade before you buy
If you are new to the nude look, it may be best to go to a counter and try on a few nude shades. Ask the make-up artist to recommend the best shade for you.
4. Line your lips
f you are worried that a nude shade is going to wash you out too much, pair it with a lip pencil that is a neutral shade too. Blend the pencil into your lip area and then layer your nude lipstick on top.
5. Layer with gloss
If you’re still not entirely comfortable, add a sweep of lipgloss over your colour to add dimension and shine.

Love Chanel and Michael Kors! Trust me to choose the expensive ones! I love nude anything, it is so versatile!
I love nudes because they are not dramatic at all and are perfect during the day.
I love nude lips because they give me a natural look.
Love wearing make up that doesn’t look like you have any on
I love nude lipstick simply because it goes with any outfit and make up. Sometimes you just need natural colour lips but with that glam factor
Love the colours, I’ve never bought colours loke that before, always go for pink or something similar so I will give it a try and see how it looks.
Nude lips are IN! But if you’re a brown skinned girl it can be hard to find a shade that matches your skin tone.I thinkfor dark skin ladies like me, the best nude lipsticks for us is peach, beige, pink, matte and top nude lipstick brands such as L’Oreal, NYX, MAC and Dior.My advice is : Ladies you must only choose to wear the best nude lipstick if you want to enhance your lips without being dramatic.Yes layer with lipgloss but not too much…some ladies have tendency of overdoing things (God help us all)
Such gorgeous colors and nude can be used with nearly any outfit. The Chanel Allure is a really beautiful shade. Sigh…
Avon’s Nude Muse gives me juicy looking lips
Nude lips look really good when done right but I’m not daring enough to try it myself.
