What we say:
There’s no beauty treatment I enjoy quite as much as a facial, and with SkinCeuticals being one of my favourite skincare brands, I was excited to experience their Reconditioning and Firming Facial.

The treatment started off with my therapist removing my make-up. She then applied the SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser to her hands and gently massaged it into my skin. After a lovely “facial massage” it was time to exfoliate. SkinCeuticals’s Micopolish was used and even though I don’t always like granular exfoliators, this one was gentle enough on my skin while still doing a good job. Next up I felt the fresh coolness of the SkinCeuticals Equalising Toner sweeping across my face. This product has such a refreshing sensation, and it smells lovely too.

Elli, my therapist, applied the SkinCeuticals Growth Factor Sheet Masque and while we waited for it to works its magic, I was treated to a wonderfully relaxing arm, hand and shoulder massage. I went for this treatment at the end of the day and must say that I was so relaxed I almost drifted off!

After about fifteen minutes the mask was removed and Elli applied SkinCeuticals Daily Moisture and Physical Fusion SPF 50. I really liked the SPF as it has an ever-so-slight tint, so it just evens your skin out a bit.

Overall I found the facial very relaxing and I enjoyed it a lot. My skin felt extremely hydrated afterwards and it was glowing when I left the salon. This is definitely a treatment I would recommend for anyone with ageing, dull or lacklustre skin.

  1. I have heard only great reviews about this product, but I don’t think it is available in the Mpumalanga region?

    1. Hi Diva, the facial is suitable for oily skin. SkinCeuticals does have other facials that would be better suited to oily skin. If you visit the Bay Skin Care Institute in Camps Bay, or any other spa that uses SkinCeuticals, one of the therapists will suggest the best facial suited to your skin.

  2. I love facials. I have dehydrated skin and I recently went for a microdermabrasion. I love the smooth and clean feel after a facial.
