The Softlips Protectant range has an SPF 20 and is perfect for summer. I love that it doesn’t have that white tinge or thickness that some sun protection lip products have. It leaves the slight tingly feeling Softlips is known for. It glides on very smoothly, and leaves a slight sheen on the lips, and you don’t need to apply much for your lips to feel soft. It is not very moisturising, and I wouldn’t recommend it for dry lips. I love the smell of the French Vanilla, the Strawberry Sherbet has a very slight smell and didn’t really impress me. I would definitely recommend this product, especially for summer, and to those who don’t have dry lips. It also works as a great base for gloss or lipstick as it provides a smooth surface. Softlips’ Lip Protectant Sunscreen SPF 20 is also a perfect size to fit into tiny bags or tiny pockets. If you are already a Softlips fan or even if you are not, I would recommend using this product as it has the added sun protection yet feels the same as the usual range.’

A lip protectant is everyone’s friend for summer and if it happens to smell like French Vanilla what else would one ask for. This Softlips Lip Protectant has an SPF 20, which is great for all but especially important for the beach-goers and sports lovers. The balm glides on the lips easily and leaves a tingly sensation for quite some time after application, which I guess is because of menthol in it. I would say it’s not very moisturising but it is an ideal lip protectant for spring/summer when you need high level of protection. Softlips Lip Protectant comes in a nice slim looking twisting tube, and is a great on-the-go lip protectant and is easy on pocket too. There is 2gms of product in the tube and for the price I think it’s a bargain. If I finish this one I might go for other variants.

I love both of these scents. The Vanilla is my favourite and I love that these balms have an SPF of 20. It’s perfect for summer time. The lip balm wears light on the lips and moisturises incredibly well. The moisturising effects last for a few hours and don’t need to be continually applied every hour. I also really love the refreshing menthol feeling on my lips when applied.
