Give your nails a buff, shape and shine and you’ll be able to put your best hand forward. It’s as easy as 1-2-3-4 with a four-way nail buffer.
Most nail buffers either have a three-way or a four-step routine, which are clearly numbered on the buffing file. And they usually go something like this:
Step 1: Prep your nail for what’s to come and file them into the desired shape, be it round or oval, square or short.
Step 2: Buff and smooth away any unwanted ridges or rough edges. Be careful not to over buff the nail bed as it can damage your nails.
Step 3: You’re on your way to smoother nails. Use this side to smooth down the nail surface and prepare it for the final step.
Step 4: The last step, which is my favourite – shine! I always love the look of my nails when I reach step four – they feel so smooth and look so shiny. This step will help create a glossy surface and prep them for the polish [https://beautysouthafrica.com/news/763-Nail-the-catwalk-colours].

Buffing is good for the nail as it improves circulation but just be careful not to do it too often as it thins the nail
