The best celebrity bed heads

Most men would probably jump at the chance to roll out of bed in the morning and leave their hair as is – no brushing, washing or styling required. But reality calls for neatly brushed, clean hair (provided you’re not a working-from-home-artist, musician or student).

When the “bed head” trend first came about, everyone thought it was exactly that – not doing anything to your hair when you get up in the morning. In reality, the celebs sporting it were sitting for intensive hairstyling sessions, as their stylist spent time trying to create this natural-look with wax, hairspray and putty.

A fashionable style or not, this look is not as easy to pull off as you may think. Not only will your boss probably send you for a haircut, but if your hair is too long, too dirty or to coarse, you’ll find the bed head looks messy rather than casual. And a quick FYI – the younger you are, the better the chances of it working on you. You’ll never see the likes of George Clooney, Harrison Ford or Hugh Jackman wearing their hair like this… Although Johnny Depp may be an exception.

If you’re keen to try it, take inspiration from these celebs. They’ve perfected messy bed hair by keeping it looking clean and touchable, but still natural. Our favourite celebrity bed heads by far!
