Washing your hair regularly will keep it looking fresh and leave you feeling confident, but how often is enough?
Depending on your hair type, every second day, or two to three times a week is plenty. If you can help it, try not to wash it every day – you will end up stripping the natural oils from your hair, plus, the time could be used for something else!
If you struggle with oily hair and you can’t leave it for longer than a day, use some dry shampoo instead. This will buy you another day, plus it’s a super quick fix!
Always wash your hair if:
– You’ve had a heavy workout session
– You’ve used styling products like hairspray or hair wax
– You used spray-in hair colours
– You had a swim in the sea or a chlorine swimming pool

I’ve always wanted to know! Thanks!
I workout everyday and I sweat a lot, so I have to wash it everyday, I try to leave it to every second day but depending on what the next day hold for me but usually everyday.
I have very long hair and an oily scalp so I wash every second to third day in summer. On my second or third day, I’d use dry shampoo if I still want to wear my hair loose without drawing attention to my roots. In winter, I switch to a more nourishing shampoo for my dry scalp (yes, dry scalps can get oily too) and wash every third to fourth day. That’s what works best for me.
